Maybe when he's ready he can make his way to OKC instead.
Man could we have ever used him this year, speed, puck moving ability, and solid defensive play, just what the Dr. ordered. He could probably prop up one of our slugs on D. That said this way Marincin gets the lions share of the developmental ice if/when the lockout ends and he'll be better for it.

Looking back he definitely should've came over this year with the way the lockout is going but he's being developed nicely in Sweden so it's hard to complain I suppose.

It's better to have those two split up between leagues anyways. Remember, at the end of the day the AHL is a developmental league as much as we like to see Oilers-related teams win.

I'm kind of glad he stayed. OKC already brought in their top defenceman in Schultz, and they are working Marincin this year.
Next year Klefbom can come over and hopefully have an impact like Schultz on the top-pairing, Marincin will have a year of experience under his belt and the team can look at working in Musil (who I think is going to get some games in the A later in the year).

I like how it's working out with the dmen prospects. They're not all coming up at once so they can each get a good season in the AHL playing on the top pairing. Marincin and Schultz this year, Klefbom and Gernat next year. Let's just hope they can all transition quickly into the NHL.

Next year will likely be Klefbom and Musil. With those 2 rookies I doubt Gernat makes the jump unless its his only option age-wise.

Isn't Gernat 20 next year? I thought he was AHL-bound, could be wrong though. Either way I imagine Gernat would be just fine playing on the 2nd or 3rd pairing while getting heavy PP minutes. Klefbom and Musil could be a pretty damn good pairing at the AHL level.
It's just great how we have these prospects coming in each year, there's always something to look forward to on the farm. That wasn't always the case.
Klefbom could very well make the NHL team next year, won't know until we see him in camp.
The guy was leading the SEL in +/- when injured. @ 19yr old!
A WJC Allstar Dman @18.
This year the guys expected to go to camp are.
Smid-Petry Played half season as #1 pair ranked 7th for 1st pairings
Whitney-N. Schultz Historically have been 1st pairing Dmen.
Sutton-J. Schultz
Peckham-Potter
Musil-Fedun
Next season our depth is
XXX-Petry
XXX-N. Schultz
XXX-J. Schultz
Peckham-Potter
We need to Resign Smid.
Whitney if healthy.
Klefbom has to slot in 3rd pair.

Klefbom likely makes the NHL next year. I would like to see him put a year in the AHL no matter how good he looks in camp.
Disaster last game. Lost 3-6 at home even tho leading 2-0 after 10 min. Biggest defeat at home for 5 years. Record low attendance aswell. Horrible night.
Also 3 players got sticks or pucks in their face so today we are playing with 4 regular D men and 3 juniors, 2 of them whom is making their first ever game.
FYI, he might need surgery, which would end the season for him. Decision soon, according to a journalist on the local paper there, Värmlands Folkblad. Says there'll be an article in tomorrow's paper.

Big big blow for the team and terrible news for Oscar.
Earlier today our best forward told everyone he needs surgery and will be out for atleast 6-8 weeks and now this.
