Doubt it. Izturis and Bonafacio are serviceable at 2B... and if that's your weakest position, Jays are doing really well then.

Pretty much this:

Dustin Parkes ‏@dustinparkes
Reyes - Melky - Bautista - Encarnacion - Lawrie - Lind - Rasmus - Arencibia - Who Cares?

I dont LOVE the signing, but you cant deny that Melky has talent. Whether his power numbers can stay up there while he's off ped's will be interesting to see...

didnt he serve them all? he was good to return in the playoffs

even if he's a .275 guy who can hit 10, like he did with the Yanks, I'm happy

What does Johnny Peralta's D have to do with Miggy's MVP award. Miggy only made 13 errors at 3b a position he had not played for regularly for 5 years. Obviously Miggy will have more errors than Trout as Trout does not field screamers at the hot corner.
You do know that total errors doesn't tell you how well someone plays D right? Plus add in that trout plays a premium position. Honestly read this article http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/index...asuring-value/. Explains how 1 sided the MVP should have been, without using advanced stats or WAR.

I can see us winning the division..... Yanks are falling apart, Red Sox already fell apart, Rays are beatable, and O's aren't really a threat

I am in the school that doesnt think PED's can improve hand-eye coordination but more power. So the way im looking at it, his power number might be most effected, bu his ability to get on base etc shouldnt be all that effected by the lack of PEDs.

Which is fine for us because as a #2 hitter i doubt we'll e relying on him for power.

His iso didn't take a drastic jump. His babip and line drive rate did. I wouldn't be too worried about his "power numbers" fluctuating, as they never really did.

Kinda makes me nervous. He was probably taking roids for his best and last 2 seasons. Hopefully he doesnt fall off a cliff..

Last Fri as GM meet wrapped, AA said: “With LF ... it’s more of a sit back and maybe let it come to us a little more” Guess Cabrera did that

Haha. Melky must have went like "you guys did WAAAAAAAT!?!?!?"

Jays now have 4 switch hitters: Reyes, Cabrera, Izturis, Bonafacio. This is awesome.

I believe the suspension has expired. He could have come back late in the playoffs but SF kept him out due to principle. Turns out they won it all anyway.

wouldnt the PEDs mean he can, in theory, swing faster and increase his chances of contact? also, with power comes the ability to just hit more powerful line drives that'll get out of the infield

while his slugging was up when he got caught, his HRs didn't increase at all

Not all his production was from the PEDs.... some of it sure, but not all of it.

I'm not concerned

Judging from his ground ball rates, line drive rates, and fly ball rates, you really don't have much to worry about.

Reasonable to think Melky Cabrera doesn't sign with #Jays without pending blockbuster with Marlins.

Have to think Toronto moved up on a bunch of list for FA.

So..judging from the reaction from the trade, and the hatred for Melky after what he pulled this season, are the Blue Jays officially the most hated team in baseball for 2013? lol I don't mind playing the bad guys.

Good point. I think Lind will do MUCH better without being in the spotlight to have to hit behind Jose. Without pressure, I think he has a really good year. Scary to think about our production if Lind has a good year..
