Just snagged this album this last week. Loving it, whole album is really good but this is one of my early favorites. They remind me a lot of Band of Horses (just for reference).
So there's basically no more music coming out this year. What are your favorite albums of 2012?
I don't know I even got more than a few albums this year that came out, but I'd say:
- Avett Brothers - The Carpenter
I listened to a lot of albums that came out earlier, including:
- Avett Brothers - Emotionalism
- Lower Definition - The Greatest of All Lost Arts
- A Lot Like Birds - Conversation Piece
On that note, I saw A Lot Like Birds and Dance Gavin Dance this weekend. ALLB was fantastic live, tons of energy, nailed it. DGD was a little weaker than when I saw them with Jonny Craig.
Clutch fan? Did we just become best friends? Yuup.
Sorry, didn't see this post til now. I love Clutch. One of my all time favorite bands. Could watch JP Gaster play drums for days.
2013 is looking very good for music. New Queens of the Stone Age. New Clutch. New Black Keys. The rest of Down's quad-album will be released. Soundgarden is touring.
EDIT: Maybe even the new Tool album as well. *faints*

A new tool album would be great, along with Clutch. I can't wait to see Clutch in concert again. They absolutely rocked it. Neil Fallon controls the crowd great, not to mention the beard.
You deserve a lifetime of happiness for telling all of us about that record. I snagged it a few months ago and still love it.
Great to hear. It's still probably the best album I've heard all year.
I'm such a picky ******* when it comes to music and can nitpick stuff to death but the handful of albums that get through to me I really enjoy and appreciate.
The other great thing I found this year was Amazon MP3 (especially when they run their specials). DRM-free music so much better quality and easier to manage than iTunes. Especially when they were running 99 cent albums.

I'm really excited about everything bolded. And I'm wearing sweatpants. Think about it.

I'm not very impressed with Koi No Yokan, but I'll still probably buy it.
