Compared to the Hunter contract, this is a great bargain, even if Cabrera isnt nearly as good as last season suggests. Cabrera is heading into his prime as well

Does he displace Rasmus or will he play LF? He's probably much more valuable as a centerfielder.

Sick rotation, sick lineup, possibility of another starter it all adds up to playoffs

I didn't expect Cabrera would get that much or 2 years, but it looks like a good deal for both.

Greinke.

Why the hell not?

I don't care about the Blue Jays, but you have to give them credit. Not only have they made big moves, they're also smart moves. Now they go all-in and get Greinke. If not, Dan Haren would be a smart pick-up.

J.A. Haap has a career ERA of just over 4.00 and pitched well in the handful of starts for the Jays.

I'm 100% fine with Haap.

In fact, I'm 100% happy with this lineup already!

Interesting move.

Seems to signal that Rasmus is a goner once Gose is ready, whenever that is.

As a Red Sox fan: ****!

But as an objective observer: tithe line up is perfect as is. Your bats are balanced left/ right, same with the bullpen.

If the Jays have more money to spend, why not? Going up against the Yankees, Orioles, and Rays, they'll need every extra win they can get.

Happ is probably better suited to long relief anyways

Another year. Year and a half. Gose isnt quite as close as we thought. Needs alot of work with the bat

It wasn't really that official, ESPN Deportes has been shaky sometimes, and no one really had confirmed it. But, seeing as Ken Rosenthal, who I'm pretty sure has been a contributor on TSN before, confirmed it, it'll probably be back up shortly.

While it's a possibility, I doubt it. This shouldn't effect Rasmus or Gose. More likely Melk doesn't work out and splits after the 2 years and Gose takes over. Or Bautista wears down, moves to 1st and Gose moves to right.

I don't like offering a cheater that much cash, especially on a multi-year deal. I guess everyone deserves a 2nd chance after doing some stupid. I dunno, I'm taking a wait and see approach.

Relying on the unreliable isnt a good way to build a team in a division with the Yankees.
