Man, I hate waiting around...been negotiating a deal for the last couple weeks and I'm supposed to get the final word today. Part one is already secured but is contingent upon part two being worked out and so far its been one huge PITA. I just want it all said and done before I get picked up for the trip to Austin as I sure as hell don't want it lingering or interfering with my mood.
So 20 minute trivia on the radio was quite interesting today. The question was why is it that 43% of woman don't want to hang out with their husband/boyfriend when the guys are around?
The male callers gave the usual answers such as the guys act like jerks when they're together etc, however a female caller got it right in that its because it would increase the likelihood of them wanting to hook up with one of their mate's boys. Turns out that 1 in 9 will get with one of them in a shaky relationship, while 1 in 4 will start bumping uglies with one of his boys if they were in a good relationship that turned to crap.
Possibly explains why none of my married friends ask me to come around their houses.
I like Pitch myself. I just love how she always acts like it's a big shocker.
One of our favorite family card game stories is the time they accidentally started playing pitch with a pinochle deck. Everyone experienced the same excitement/disappointment cycle and it's been a hilarious anecdote every year since.
Concert was good, the meet and greet beforehand was a colossal waste of time. The girls had a good time, though one of my regulars at the end of the night told me that the little 20yo has big time stalker potential as the regular mentioned how the 20yo wanted the complete 411 on me. Regular said that she tried to explain how friends with benefits = good times for all, and that I'm not looking for more right now.
As for the other issue, I'm still waiting and not getting a very good feeling about it. I've talked to the concerned party for part 1 of the deal and he doesn't have a good feeling about it either, thinks that party 2 wants to let the stipulation run out to take over. Worse comes to worse, party 2 says no and I only lost some time, if he comes to his senses; I put forth a substantial sum of cash and have something to occupy my time with while making a nice profit, albeit needing 3 yrs or so to recoup my investment.
