So, who does that leave?
the first person that says Ozzie Guillen gets shot.

Your couple comments here seem like you are trying to justify why you cheer for the Habs and the Jays. Lol......

The most important quality for our upcoming manager to have is understand platoon splits. Yes, even with switch hitters, there are platoon splits and he's got to utilize the splits.

It's going to be interesting to see who get's signed, that's for sure.

And I hope AA doesn't even fathom the idea of Ozzie

I still like Wak to manage but have at minimum Luis Rivera as his bench coach so that there is a distance between the players and the manager where you need to have respect but also fear. Rivera would be a great go between for the players and manager.

If boneface plays second id really like to see..

Reyes (s)
boneface (s)
joey bats (r)
edwin (r)
cabrera (s)
lind(l)
Lawrie (r)
rasmus (l)
JPA/Buck/D'rnaud ( r)

Reyes and bonifacio both have great on base % and can each steal 40 + bags. Thats ridicuous speed at the top. Cabrera has a decent on base but it is really drivin up by this high batting average last year thats why id like to see him 5. And i think with less presssure to produce Lind can really settle in a be comfortable and have a good season. and to have you 7/8/9 hittters Lawrie, rasmus, jpa, you have very good speed and power that can produce runs and 2 guys that batted at the top of our order last year!
So pumped

He was a top-30 hitter last year, and then tested positive. It's really impossible to compare him to an NHL player because of the whole "steroids" thing. He was really good, how much of that was legitimate remains to be seen.

Patrick Sharp, coming off a steroid suspension? lol

Best shot.

Which non switch hitting guy are you going to need to platoon? Jose, EE, Lawrie, the catcher maybe and maybe Lind against a tough lefty like David Price.

All the other guys are switch hitters and who is on the bench to hit for any guys? Who are the bench players for the Jays? The line up and bench players don't mix as of right now.

If you have Cabrera, there is no reason to not put him in the 2 hole, anywhere else would just be silly. If boneface is in the lineup, you'd do something similar to gose last year and put him near the bottom in my opinion. What I really like is the fact that his OBP before his steroid season last year has been pretty good. 2 hole is very necessary

I'd say before he got busted for PEDs he could've been like a Patrik Elias. Reliable and consistent.

JPA+Lind for the best 1B we can get. Let Buck work with d'Arnaud. Have the best lineup in the MLB. Having the luxury of playing EE at DH would be just awesome.

I think it's Selig's comments about the deal being under review and about doing "the right thing for baseball" that has people a tad bit worried.
