Very well deserved goal for Avtsin. He needs to bring this effort level every game.

Wow, Bournival was awesome there. AWESOME. Little Gally makes it 3-1 on a rare PP goal.

I'm guessing he has been putting in a good effort so far.

Great play from Bournival there! Nice goal from Gallagher!
It's nice to Avtsin get a goal. He looks good out there.

He has. The thing with russians is that if they have low hockey IQ, people are pretty quick to jump to that old stereotype of 'lazy heartless russian'. Kinda like Andrei K. He wasn't necessarily 'lazy', he just didn't have too bright a bulb plugged in upstairs.

I always thought that of him, hopefully he can improve his decision making. He can be a good player if he improves that and his defense, of course. But he has to more to convince me again.

Good to hear Avtsin scored. Hopefully he can keep up the good play. Happy to hear my boy Ellis scored too.

I refuse to get excited about Avtsin again only for him to do nothing for the next 3 months, but I'm happy for the kid, he needs to play.
The sad thing is despite his obvious issues with NA style hockey, from everything I've seen and heard he's worked harder than fan hero Ian Schultz did. You never heard talk of Avtsin showing up fat.

Everyone's expectations were too high in the first place. They forgot that he was a 19 year old rookie adjusting to N.A. in his first season. Its not like he was a 1st round pick. Give the guy time to develop, not only his game, but socially and culturally as well.
