IMO, the order of call-ups will be:

1. Dumoulin
2. Bortuzzo
3. Despres
4. Strait
5. Morrow

Yeah you're probably right. I don't mind, that lets him tear apart the AHL for a while then give him the spot next year. Or sign Perry, I'd be fine with either.

Bortuzzo and Strait both have to be in the NHL or they will be subject to waivers.

Well, Tangradi still doesnt have an assist this season. I guess, we are all disappointed in him But seriously, hes very interesting stuff, but Im still not 100% sold of him. Precise defensive work and vision are still lacking, but we need scoring winger as hell, and he could definitely be one.

Im more impressed by Zatkoff and Dumoulin. Very happy to see Dumoulin doing well, that makes me feel OK about that Staals trade.

Bortuzzo will start next year in the NHL (assuming there is a season), and Strait will probably be traded. The pairs would probs be:

Letang-Martin
Orpik-Niskanen
Bortuzzo-Lovejoy/Engelland

With Dumoulin being 1st call-up when injuries strike.

I'm really starting to like Zatkoff. He tracks the puck pretty well.

They don't have Morrow on the PP this game it looks like. Could be because he's not been very good in his own end, and are trying to teach him a lesson. Still, that's his strong suit. Put him on the PP.

He was scratched tonight.

edit: I'd be really curious to see how Zatkoff handles NHL action.

Zatkoff-1.82 GAA and .932 Save%

Tangradi tied for 2nd in league with 9 goals

Bennett with a solid 10 pts in 14 games and playing much better the last handful of games.

WBS-8-2 over last 10 games

Dumoulin will not be called up before Bortuzzo, Strait, and Despres this year. I like him as much as the next guy but he''s not going to leapfrog those guys this season.

I really doubt Lovejoy will be resigned for next season with all the D-men in the system, esp if there is no season this year. His season didn't end well last year and he's in the last year of his contract.

Dude - Dumoulin has already leapfrogged Depres, and by a wide margin. Looks like Depres might have got comfortable after last season.... Well, at least he's learning that lesson in the AHL.

I reckon they'll test the waters for a trade, but he could be back. Look at Dylan Reese for example. AHL stud, marginal NHL player, signed here despite our metric ****tonne of defensive players.

No need to rewatch, his semi-sheltered minutes were good and showed a player much better than he has been in the AHL this year.

Well then. Why is he struggling so much this season? It's not just this game, but most of the year so far that he has been having problems.

Despres was, without mincing words, pretty bad in the A last year as well.

He seems to be a guy who plays better in the NHL. Not uncommon.

Some guys just struggle in the minors and are different animals under the bright lights, playing with high end talent.

I just think Despres is dreaming of the NHL when he passes to the other team.
