Drouin has been ejected from the game... After a brawl, not involving JD, Dillon Fournier skated past the Moose bench, pushed JD and then his own brother.. From what they just said, Drouin was given a 2 minute penalty for slashing and a 10 minute misconduct.
EDIT: After going to the dressing room and smashing his stick, almost hitting a kid, Drouin has only been given 2 minors and is back in the game.
I saw that on TV. Kid was chasing after him, Drouin smashed his stick, blade flew back towards the kid, kid got freaked out.
Yeah, I laughed loudly.. I was waiting for him to smash it and as soon as he started running to catch up I went "PLEASE SMASH IT NOW.".. But hey, he got a free game-used Jonathan Drouin stick blade! Lucky ******* kid.
Oh yeah, 4-3 Moose... MacKinnon from Frk and Drouin. 3 points for Nate, 3 for Marty, and 4 for Drouin.
This is Drouin's 2nd 4 assist game this season.. The kid is quite a special player and will only get better. At this point I don't even want the Leafs to get MacKinnon, I want Drouin. He is BY FAR my favourite player on this team.
Nothing to do with Drouin, but Fournier just scored his 3rd goal, was tripped AFTER the goal, and has been tossed from the game for saying something about it.
So, earlier Drouin was pushed waaaaaay after the whistle has blown, says something, gets an unsportsmanlike conduct.. Fournier gets tripped after scoring, says something, gets thrown from the game while the player who tripped him gets no penalty.. Makes sense.

I think if MacKinnon gets an invite (which he most certainly will), then Drouin should deserve a look as well. Right now, I think four of the top six forwards are a lock: RNH, Strome, Scheifele and Huberdeau. That leaves two winger spots. Could these two spots possibly go to MacKinnon and Drouin? Maybe have a line of Drouin-RNH-MacKinnon with RNH acting as captain and mentor? The only other players that I can see challenging for those winger positions in the top six are Rattie, Shinkaruk and Puempel. I don't think either of them are slam dunks and Drouin definitely has a chance to surpass them especially with the chemistry that he already has with MacKinnon. There are other high scoring wingers in the CHL as well but I think they are probably more suited to be grinders rather than scorers (ie. Lipon, Catenacci, Danault, Ritchie, Griffith, etc). I think Hockey Canada should have learned from their mistakes in previous years of cutting high scoring 17-year-old players by now (RNH in 2011, Seguin in 2010). So does anyone else think Drouin has a shot to make the team this year?
The reason people are comparing him to Kane is because of his stick handling, I agree with you thought, he is getting a little to much hype. But the potential and talent are there, I just think that he is a top 10 pick, not a top 5 or top 3 like some people make him out to be. In other drafts sure, not this draft.

Really? I had a perfect angle of the tunnel and it looked like he swung his stick backm but didn't follow through in brrking it.... Maybe i saw wrong....
I'd be pretty pissed too with that clueless display by the refs in the 2nd lol.
