The only reason Josh Johnson may not want to play in Toronto is because it's cold and because of the taxes. He's going to enjoy playing for a winner though!
Baseball is a summer sport though. Toronto summers are very nice, in general. Taxes, I could understand.

Since when is the summer in Toronto cold? Its hot and humid as hell.
The issue is the next one may involve trading Johnson or Buerhle. Not saying it will happen but there is always a chance if one really does not want to play here.
I really hope he finds a way to get rid of Buck and Lind. Too much money tied up in the two of them.
here we all were trying to figure out who hits #2 (before getting melky)
colby.....boneface.....lawrie.....
now thats taken care of
now we're figuring ok who bats #5
colby....lind.....lawrie
i bet that gets taken care of soon too
if you're going for it , best to have big name players hitting #2 and #5
if JB gets hurt there's no one besides EE to count on for 25+ hr/90+ rbis
and that would suck
just like it would suck if one of the top 4 starters got hurt or romero still sucks
then we're down to 3 quality starters
so best to get another proven starter at least - preferably a good 3-4 starter
now if he demands his 30 starts then i dont know
it would suck
Was really hoping for this move. Glad we are going all out!
Hopefully we can do something about the hole in 2B, even though it isn't that important.
What would be some good baseball radio stations/shows to listen to?
BcCowan on 590 is a tool, ESPN radio seems to cover the NFL more these days.
It's pretty rare to have a very good offensive 2B. Izturiz and Boneface will do a fine job there, providing sufficient defense and good to great speed on the base paths. Second base shouldn't be a position to worry about, especially with the line up the Jays now have. Even the Giants/Yankees/Dodgers/Rangers have a weak spot or two.

Well the RBIs are pretty much a product of the other hitters on the team, and with all of the new additions...100 RBIs is pretty possible from whoever we put in the cleanup spots. The HRs might be a bit harder to come by, but table-setting and OBP is a position of strength for us now, so RBIs shouldn't be a problem.

Reyes
Rasmus
Bautista
EE
Cabrera
Lawrie
Lind
JPA/Buck/TDA
Whoever they have at 2B
I just hope none of d’Arnaud, Gose, Syndergaard, or Sanchez are traded. Also don't want to see JPA traded either. I'd rather ship off both Buck and Lind.
Exciting times either way. I assume AA is looking to nab another starting pitcher.

I hope they don't trade Buerhle, he's the only sure thing in the rotation.
well AA didnt have to get cabrera
cuz they would have got good production in the #2 hole from other guys platooning etc
and LF would have been ok with boneface/davis
cant see milke hitting #5
you know reyes was hitting #3 2nd half of this season ??

I think it's a guarantee JPA will be dealt. Unless they deal Lind, have EE at 1st, and JPA as DH
