Pulock would be an awesome pick up if all the top end centres are gone. But if any of them are there and we pick a D man, I'll poop everywhere.

My only thought is that I would not like taking Pulock over Shinkaruk. At all.

Move us down one spot and assume Shinkaruk is gone and I'm happy with Pulock.

Just my 2 cents.

Nichushkin is going to be great. Like a Russian Barkov.

I won't get my hopes up for Burke taking a Russian, but Nichushkin can bring an element that is sorely missing from our current top 6...actually this is one Russkie I could see Burke liking.

The point of the thread was to make your own mock draft, based on a random order using the proper formula, not to pick at mine. Though I can see Burke taking Shinkaruk over Pulock for sure.. I hadn't seen Shinkaruk more than once before the super series game, and he impressed me much more in that game.

I liked Nichuskin a lot in the super series, but he and Barkov could not be more different. Barkov is all about hockey iq, he's not very explosive or dynamic, but is just SO smart and effective all over the ice. Think Mikko Koivu or Joe Thornton. Nichuskin is incredibly fast, dynamic and explosive, but is a bit more of a tunnel vision type of player. Think Rick Nash or Taylor Hall. Also, Barkov is a pure centre, while Nichuskin is a pure winger.

I wouldn't think many of us are capable of writing our own program to simulate results...

Shinkaruk would be an awesome pick, easily a top 5 guy in the upcoming draft. Domi would be another amazing pick, kid is so dangerous and works so hard.

I'm not a big fan of Morissey, if the Habs had to take a dman I'd prefer pulock.

I feel like Detroit is going to get a high pick because of the cancellation of the Winter Classic and just how big their owners are in terms of the NHL.

26. NYR - Ian McCoshen
27. Buffalo - JT Compher
28. SJ - Marc-Olivier Roy

27. San Jose - Anthony Duclair
28. Washington - Artturi Lehkonen
29. Ottawa - Steve Santini
30. Montreal - William Carrier

Go ahead and mock yourselves
NHL needs to tier the teams. Maybe playoff vs non-playoff. No way should a team like Pittsburg get the number one overall. Ditto a team like LA. Heck the Oilers shouldn't either.

They need to play part of a season to make this fair.

I have seen MacKinnon and Drouin play several times this year and they are something to watch. Opposing teams focus on stoppping MacKinnon and Drouin takes advantage.
