I believe the roster is due to be announced next week. They played a game against Sheffield Steeldogs yesterday and won 7-1, but I can't find anywhere who actually played.
Milton has improved a lot the past couple of years, I saw him start a game for the Jets this year and he didn't look out of place. Stones is ok but he's suffered from sitting on the bench too much. Goaltending will be the weak point of this team for sure.
These guys I think are locks, I have no idea who else could make it, the D looks pretty good this year. I would have included Jamie Chilcott but he doesn't seem to be playing anywhere this year.
I think forward depth might hurt the team, I've probably forgotten someone who should be on there but I did this quickly. There's a chance Liam Stewart might play, hopefully he will.
I will update the thread when the preliminary roster is announced

I think Liam Stewart will definitely come to play this year. Last season he missed the U18s simply because his WHL team was in the playoffs. Leaving in December for WJC is much more acceptable lol
Goaltending always worries me. If you search the goalies eligible on EP, you only get like 2 dozen tendies. That isn't much competition at all.

Completely forgot about Venus, will edit OP.
Goaltending this year is very poor compared to the past. You had Ben Bowns and Declan Ryan who were already established starters in the EPL at that age, this years guys are all backups. It won't be much of an issue for the U18's this year though. There's also a great '96 born guy Jordan Hedley, this kid has been winning games on his own for years in juniors.

I think it all depends on how Payette is going to get that team playing, obviously going completely rough and tumble i.e. Steeldogs wont happen as its international hockey but I wonder if we'll see them play physical (by international standards). Forwards seem a bit light, D looks solid, NM will need to play blinders.
I dont know what the accepted goal for this group is but just looking at it as it is I'm guessing staying in it is probably the goal.

Staying in the group will be great. The junior tournaments are difficult to predict since we don't really know much about the other countries at this level until the prelim roster is up on IIHF and we can research the players.
Venus has played very well for Blaze this year, good on the forecheck and defensively responsible. Griffin has looked good but I'm not confident enough to comment on D.
Great to see Turner make it, I've pretty much watched this guy mature as a player from 18's through ENL to EPL over the past few seasons and I'm glad he's finally getting the recognition he deserves.
In fact here's a picture from a Hornets game last season with me on the line looking very serious, lol

Matt Selby, there's a name I've been waiting to hear for a while lol nearly forgot about him and he's only 17 yet. Hopefully I get to see some actually GB U20 streams this year if they ever decide to do some

Ahh excellent stuff, Lewis has been a very reliable D man for us this season, good to see him get the nod.
If Selby didn't have a cage he would of had a few fights by now, kid isn't scared of anyone. Goss saved 35 of 40 shots against Giants, he was very unlucky on a couple. As a fan I'm more confident in him than I was in Stones last season.
Selfishly I'm really worried, that's a good bit of depth we'd lose.
Any player that really stand out or should be noted for GB? also is there a posibility in the next few years there will be someone drafted in NHL from GB?

Zero. Britain is improving but for Brits to stand a chance they'd need to go through school in Canada or Sweden to benefit from better coaching.

You should get win over Croatia. Not very good team this years as in previous seasons. Lack of offense, apart from two D-s very questionable defence and goalie, despite being solid prospect, is completely out of shape.

James Griffin is by far the best player in this age class and should wear the C again like he did in U18's, the guy is a beast on D. I may be biased since I went to school with him and we were teammates but I'm sure the Coventry fans will back me up on this.
People will say no chance of a real Brit getting drafted but I have high hopes for a kid called Sam Duggan, I think this guy could make it. He's 14 years old and is top 5 in scoring in the U18 league, I'm not just stat reading either, I've seen this kid play and he's very good.

What about Oliver Betteridge? (Probably butchered the spelling) but ye him lol

Yes he's good, but I've never seen him play. Plus right now he's stuck playing NIHL2 and benchwarming in the EIHL so he's not going to get noticed. Guys like Griffin and Farmer were getting regular shifts in the EPL at his age.
Another shout for Sam Duggan here, he was getting mentions a couple of years ago by various people but is excelling amongst U18 players. Had 98pts in U14s last year. I think other names to take note of (off the top of my head) are Betteridge, Lewis Hook, Aidan Doughty, Ben Churchfield and Harry Harley.
For NHL chances, Liam Stewart is far and away the most likely. Hopefully Spokane will release him for the U20s next month.

Liam Stewart is less British than Jade Galbraith I'd say he'll be released by Spokane for the WJC 100%. CHL loves it when their kids are playing internationally.
I wonder if Sam Duggan might come over to Shattuck St. Mary's like his brother before him.

Sorry but Doughty does not belong on a list with these guys unless you're playing "one of these is not like the others". He really isn't that good. The reason his stats look so good is because he has always been playing in the B league.

British father, born here and wants to play for GB. Better qualified than some national players over the years.
