You were?

Guess what?

I knew that.

My point was 2 games versus 6 games and 3 leagues.

He was the Leafs' leading scorer in the 196364, 196667 and 196970 seasons, and the team's top goal scorer in 197071 and 197273. Keon was considered one of the fastest skaters in the NHL, and one of the best defensive forwards of his era.[3] He would usually play against the opposing team's top centre, and developed a reputation for neutralizing some of the league's top scorers. In 197071, he scored eight shorthanded goals, setting an NHL record.

I'll take things that won't work in the NHL for $100, Alex.

Kadri's still getting criticized for trying to use junior moves in the NHL. Let's hope Reilly adjusts faster/better.

Morgan Rielly was impressive in the 2 game series, very active and involved.

Probably among the best of the WHLers.

Sportsnet had a great piece on Rielly last night about his charity work to fight cancer.. He has his own charity "stick it to cancer" that raised $16,000 last year.

Check it out: http://m.torontosun.com/2012/11/03/l...-of-a-champion

He is an impressive young man on and off the ice.

After watching the SSS Burke's comments about taking Rielly 1st overall don't seem so far fetched anymore...

He willl be good but...

Some of those moves would get him in trouble in the NHL.He won't be ready this year.

I love Rielly, but he did look awkward in his own end during the games.

It will come with time, but I don't think that he's NHL ready defensively.

His fancy junior moves is not whats getting everyone excited, not to mention most of them are simple and use his skating and size to keep away from opposition the only move that he may have trouble with are his pretty toe drags which Gardiner proved can work in the NHL if executed properly. What is exciting about Rielly and what makes him so good is his elusiveness. The fact that the kid can be swarmed by 3 guys and come out of it with the puck is unparalleled by any D ive seen in a while. He is also very offensively aware, knows when to pinch without getting caught and sees the open ice very well. His defensive awareness is slightly lacking but his ability to use his speed and IQ to maintain possession means that his defensive game will never really be a problem for him.

If you watch Moose Jaw games, the puck is never in the defensive end when Riellys on the ice. Junior can not refine his defensive game because he is so much better than his opposition that hes never really challenged defensively. The best defensive attribute however, is his ability to strip players of the puck, its incredible how easy he makes it seem.

He definitely is NHL ready skating wise, if not better than Gardiner.

When others are stating he was one of the best skaters for the WHL and in general the game, you know he's good. Just need to be patient and let him bring all his skill out, slow and steady wins the race.

He certainly got knocked around and was slow getting up a few times. Maybe he isn't 100% right now.

I know a scout who was at the final game and he also said rielly looked like he was hurt.

He said he couldn't pin-point the injury but it seemed to be his left leg.

1st period, snuck in from the point to take a cross crease one timer pass, he lost an edge/ caught a rut or something. The announcer made a comment that he looked injured. Seemed to change the game momentum too.

In that play, rielly missed the puck with his stick (he wanted to one-time it), and the puck hit the side of his skate. The pass was a bit to hard and elevated too, it looked like a shot. Anyway thats when he got hurt. Its probably not anything too bad, but really uncomfortable to skate with. That happened to me a few times, and the lump that forms isnt all pleasant (and makes it real hard to put on your skates).

He was definitely playing hurt.

He was coughing up the puck. Getting beat along the boards a bit. Didn't look explosive. And his mobility was noticeably worse than the night before.

Well if Kadri is as quick as Rielly or vice versa then I'm not expecting Rielly's arrival in the NHL for a couple seasons anyway.
