This was a big section heading into the all star break for the Coyotes. Their young star Jordan Eberle was out with a pulled groin, they were a few points back of a playoff spot, heading up the ranks, with Vancouver, a team they would need to pass, on the schedule.
They started off strong, but went 0-1-1 against Colorado in a home and home and lost to Minnesota in a shootout after being down 3-0. Vancouver was their statement game.
They floundered. Being outshot 8-2 in the third period the Canucks took control of the Coyotes and took a 2-0 lead after poor defensive choices by young duo Yandle and Ekman-Larsson.
“They spun around and did ****ing ballerina moves as the puck was going the opposite way!” Said Tippet of their performance. “It was like they were victim of some crappy game mechanic or something.”
The team is now 3 points behind 9th place Vancouver, and 6 out of a playoff spot with less than 30 games to play.

LOL nicely put. Yes, game mechanics account for like 90% of the goals in this game. Trying to play great defense from puck drop to the end of the game is virtually impossible due to pucks going THROUGH STICKS, and defenseman that turn around slower than a pewee hockey player
I keep getting sucked back to 9th in the conference. I can never seem to stay in a playoff spot.
The 7-10 spots are a complete juggling act in the East. I just jumped up to 7th this block, but I wouldn't be surprised if I'm back to 9th or so when everyone else finishes the block.

haha I remember when I played PHI for the 8th seed in game 82 last season. It was the most intense game of my life. I had butterflies heading into the game and if it weren't for the fact that I was dead tired I would have gone crazy when I won.

I have a feeling that 3 or 4 teams are gonna be fighting for the last 2 spots at the last sim period of the season.
Hey guys so just guessing at the rest of the regular season schedule, it looks like there are two double advances left (Sunday, and then another close to the end of the season).
Seeing how a double advance near the end of the season would be lame, perhaps we should consider having a triple advance on Sunday and then just playing out the rest of the season ourselves.

Nah i'll just do one more Double Advance on Sunday night and then no more for the rest of the season. I dont want the end of the season to be determined by simming.

I was gonna sign this guy to lay down the law when other teams start taking runs at my stars, but am at the max contract limit I think.

I know what you mean. When you're down in a game, and the other team just keeps on going for goals and icing their stars, you need a guy who just doesn't give a **** about taking a penalty lol.

And with 99 aggressiveness, you won't even have to control him, he'll resort to goonage all by himself. Just let him off the leash and watch the mayhem lol.
