Not to mention he had 9 more HR while Swisher is a LH hitter (switch) at Yankee stadium...

Literally, mirror images of each other.
No... they really aren't. You have one guy playing in the most HR friendly ball park by far in the league for LH hitters and still hit 9 less home runs. Swisher also played on the Yankees who had 70~ more runs and still didn't put up more RBI's. Finally Swisher is absolutely brutal defensively.

They are far "mirror images of each other". If we're spending money on a DH/1B I sure want the one who hits more HR's and RBI's in a less friendly ball park.

Star is reporting Riggleman and Tracy are final manager candidates with an announcement expected soon. Thoughts?

Their isolated power ratings are pretty similar:

Nick Swisher - .201 ISO
Adam LaRoche - .238 ISO

I'll gladly switch from Bell to Rogers, if they would bring us a serious 1B/DH.

The report said the Riggleman and Tracy are "two of" the final managerial candidates, not that they are the finalists, and Ken Rosenthal later reported that Riggleman had not been contacted about the Blue Jays position.

Golden Rule: If it's been publicly reported, and hasn't happened 20min after the fact, it's not happening.

Like Scion said, Riggleman after being contacted by reporters, didn't even know he was being considered.

You're right. How foolish of me for employing wOBA and wRC+, which both regulate for literally everything you just mentioned, to show that the two players were equally as productive with the bat in 2012. My bad.

The one argument for Swisher over LaRoche is that Swisher has played in the AL East for a handful of seasons already and will be familiar with the pitchers and the AL style of game. Not to mention he's been successful in doing so. Whereas LaRoche has played mostly in the NL for his career and would have to adjust to new pitchers/parks.

Plus Swisher provides more flexibility as he could play in the OF too. Then EE can alternate with someone like Cabrera as DH and Swisher can cover both 1B and LF.

They are pretty similar players, but a 37 point difference in ISO is fairly significant. Their career ISO is practically identical on the other hand.

I still feel, based on nothing but certain non-answers and vibes I have been getting, that Don Wakamatsu will be #Bluejays next manager.

It's not terribly significant, both rates still fall under the same classification according to fangraphs rating system.

Excellent 0.250
Great 0.200
Above Average 0.180
Average 0.145
Below Average 0.120
Poor 0.100
Awful 0.080

lol yes... you can believe these obscure stats provide all a definitive view of a players value. They don't btw but keep believing that.

The fact that the stats contradict themselves just speaks to their credibility.

You should have used that after the big trade. I think it would have been much more appropriate then to the potential hiring of Waka. LOL Either way I love it.
