I agree that I'd rather have my team be dominant 5 on 5 rather than dominant on the powerplay. The Oilers are already spectacular on the PP, hopefully the even strength game comes.

senorchang has been correct through most of the discussion. Of course you want your club to be able to prevail 5 on 5.

The trouble with being a club reliant on man advantages to do your work for you is you end up being the Vancouver Canucks in the playoffs crying about when the next PP is coming your way so that you can try to get back in a game..

People should understand that comment.

Making a living on candy colored nonsense like OTL, SOW, or 4 on 4 OT or frequent man advantage teaches nothing about the purist form of this game, 5 on 5 hockey, that is almost exclusively the configuration of playoff hockey.

Again people should figure out the rest.

Another thing I'll note is that the only scoring burst in recent memory for this club was against Toronto, a team they lulled to sleep by quickly succumbing 4-0. So in otherwords Toronto, with 4-0 lead, and a 5-2 lead late in the game figured they had the game won. The refs, awarding the Barons 4 PP's late in the game including an inexplainable bench minor had other ideas.

Shame on the Marlies for giving up a loser point in that one but they obviously took their foot off the pedal for that one to even be a game.

Stream is listed here but it never did appear last night and it's not active yet.

Edit: Nevermind it's up now. Audio is doubled though.

Rough stuff off the start with Byers and Plante in the middle of a scrum.

Plante and Moore(?) have the gloves dropped but is broken up before they start throwing. Most likely due to the hit yesterday I'm guessing.

Dammit Nuge, if you don't score every time you touch the puck Danis probably won't save it going the other way.

Great play by Schultz, Nuge has to bury those or at least hit the net there. Admirals come back and score.

Love Hall's breakaway skills.

All speed no hands.

That was a bad goal that should have been saved. Hopefully the Barons don't get deflated.

Considering Danis stopped 43 shots yesterday and was the only conceivable reason we're in the game kind of an odd comment

ps Plante taking lessons from Teubert I see.
