I'm going second trip of the year for me..

I'm actually looking at ticketmaster right now cause a few friends wanna go there's tons of seats available you'll have no problem what so ever getting a ticket at the door. There's really no bad seat in the place its only one tiered so even the top row is close to the ice its not that big of an arena.

Nelson is awesome. Just flat out awesome. He anticipates plays so well it's scary. He plays just like Jordan Staal. He's strong, physical, and has great offensive instincts. He's one special player.

What type of game does he play with Nino? I really like both these kids and am curious if there's much chance the two play at the NHL level together or if they just look good together because they are NHL calibre players in the AHL.

Cappy's nephew just got his first point. Does he look solid? This has to be the first time someone from the Atlantic Junior Hockey League jumped all the way up to the A without stops in between. I just read on the Islanders mini-camp roster, that he was supposed to go to Providence.

That's what I figured. But, why is he playing? Let alone getting PP time!!!

I'm sure having a family connection got him some help in landing a roster spot with Bridgeport. But there is no reason he should be getting pp time.

Also, The Warrior is on Manchester's coaching staff. He's just 31. Looks like he's got a pretty promising career in that department. I remember players really talking about his help with stuff Diet and and off-ice living when he was here.

He wasn't out there for long. There was only ~15 seconds left and Landry scored with 1 second left.

I want to see Nilsson as the 1st goalie for the Isles next season if Nabby doesn't resign. He is ready.

I want the isles competing for a playoff spot. I hope we don't just hand a rookie the #1 goalie spot.
Let Poulin or Nilson outplay a vet for that #1 spot.

Yes! Let's sign or trade for a new vet... and let our three young keepers stay in the AHL for some more years! Brilliant idea. Why not Nicolai Khabibulin or Steve Mason/DiPietro tandem?

Nilsson and Poulin are soon 23 yo. Why not let them play and gain experience in the big league? Just like the Rangers did with Lundqvist? Why not let Nilsson and Poulin outplay eachothers instead of some old goalie?

Well like I said, he's big, somewhat physical, great offensive instincts. He towers over some players. The best part about him was his positioning. He was never, ever out of position. I decided to watch just him on some of his shifts. He made a couple of really good pass interceptions, and it was clearly from his positioning and awareness. Unfortunately, he didn't have a point. But I would say he was the best player on the ice. He plays like he was very well coached at North Dakota, and even better coached now with Pellerin.

He plays so much like Jordan Staal. And not a poor man's version of him either, I mean he's just like Jordan Staal. When he gets to the NHL, don't be surprised if you think Nelson is his brother, not Eric.

EDIT: Sorry if I sound overly excited about him, but I didn't expect Nelson to be this kind of player.

What three young netminders are in Bridgeport ?

I'm interested in winning, getting back into the playoffs for the first time since 2007.

I don't care if the #1 goalie who carries the team on his back, is 22 yr old Poulin, 22 yr old Nilson or 37 yr old Nabakov.

The nhl isn't the development league.

Zero interest in going through growing pains, with a rookie goalie, who's been handed the #1 goalie spot.

The Isles cannot afford to put an uproven youngster in net for the next season or two. Let Poulin and Nilsson serve as backups for more experienced guys until they are properly ready and the Isles are a real playoff team.

Agree with every point here... Bring in a solid vet and may the best goalie get the starting job.

He's probably referencing koskinen mistakenly being in Bridgeport. (He's not its just poulin and Nilsson as the two goalies)

Besides god forbid poulin or nils struggles people are going to be screaming not only did we waste a season trying to win with a rookie goalie but also ruined their development... It's just not worth the risk and there is hardly any reward.

The Rangers didn't hand the job to Lundqvist, Weekes was expected to be the starter and Lundqvist outplayed him.

The Isles should do the same, bring in a vet, let Nillson/Poulin earn the #1 spot.
