Also, free agents are ridiculous. I was considering signing Sobotka, but he was $4.7 million and is only 83 overall... there's some 80 overall defensemen asking for $3 million... geez

3 mil for an 80 overall d-man is actually the standard rate. Ive had over 4 guys in similar positions ask for that much. Something I tend to forget, and im sure others do, is that the cap goes up so much in the game. Every year its guaranteed to go up like 2 mil.

Really? In my offline GM modes, guys who are 80 overall don't want that much, usually.

I think I'm just annoyed because I only have $2.8 million of cap space so I can't sign anyone good.

He declined. Not interested in giving up Kane since he wants to improve his forwards and switching Kane for Hartsy doesn't help.

He says if you want to rework the deal he'll listen, though.
