The kids are playing great and it looks like everyone is buying in to what Gill is teaching them. 4th win in a row tonight getting 7 goals from 6 different goal scorers, big test on Sunday playing Niagara Falls.

I've always maintained he's easily one of the very top coaches in the league. Imagine he had a stacked team?

Heffernan and M. Cram on the same line when they're not scratched. And at times you can add in DeSousa as well. So 3 16 year olds on one line when they're not scratched.

I thought Desousa was a D man? How often have Heffernan and M.Cram both played in the same game on the same line? Bennett and Watson play a regular shift and are on in key situations every game.

DEsousa is a Dman. Point is he is on the ice with those other 2 forwards making it 3. BIg difference between the BElleville and Kingston because Kingston has 3 as well when Mckeown is out there with Watson and Bennett. The Kingston 3 are never healthy scratches and actually impact the game heavily unlike Belleville's 3. Those 3 BElleville players all have 0 points.

Heffernan and M. Cram always on same line when dressed and playing same night. Kingston affords their younger guys ice and sometimes very good ice so it's impossible to compare the two team's rookies.

Its actually the easiest comparison ever. Kingston's Bennett and Watson are way ahead of those 2 belleville players and always will be. They have way higher end skill level. If Belleville had those 2 Kingston Boys they'd get more Ice than Cram or Heff as i said Kingston's boys are WAY ahead based on skill. Those 2 belleville boys in the next 4 years will never be key pieces to a winning team. Quote me on that.

I think they have realy started to play well,it took a little time to adjust.Ikonen is playing wing with 2 16 year olds in Bennett and Watson and they get points every game.Vainonen is paired with 16 year old Mckeown and they log a lot of minutes and both have been very steady lately.

Sam Bennett and Spencer Watson are very impressive, great shootout goals for the two. Future is looking bright in Kingston. Strong draft.

Should be a good game at the KROC tonight $10.00 for Queens,RMC and St.Lawrence College students. They always liven the place up a bit and the Fronts are only 5 points back of Oshawa with 3 games in hand.

Looks like Moffat has a seperated shoulder and he might be out for up to a month.Hope he gets back in time for Mckeown and DiPerna to go to U17 tourney.

Unreal deal. We normally go to a few games each semester. $10 for a ticket and we all got to meet Doug Gilmour was sweet.

I think even through 30 games in the rookie season, that u can pencil in Bennett, Mckeown and S.Watson as a future first round NHL picks. The 96 Marlies appear to have had 4 first round NHL picks. Bennett, Mckeown, Mcdavid and Hosang.

I hope you didn't spend much time deducing that the 9th and 22nd overall picks would probably be much better than the 51st and 69th pick? I don't even need to see the players ever play and I'd make that prediction 7 days a week. Hence the reason they're also playing every game compared to almost half the amount in M. Cramarossa's case or 10 games less in Heffernan's case.

What can the Frontenacs expect from M. Watson? I would think he would get some games in during U17 and World Jr. tourneys.

Big Buck,

I did a little research into your question about what to expect from the newest Kingston Frontenacs signing Matthew Watson.

Below are some links to videos of some of the things he has done for the Strathroy Rockets as a young 16 year old.

I hope this gives you an idea of what to expect from young Matthew Watson.

Whoever coined the nickname "Spencer 2.0" is bang on.

Big Buck,
I did some research on what to expect from Matthew Watson the newest Kingston Frontenacs signing.
Below our some of the video I could find on him. He looks like a good one and should help excel Spencer’s game.
Here are some links to his highlights: (Matthew wares #5 for strathroy but will don the #55 as a Frontenac)

I hope this helps you figure out what to expect from young Matthew Watson as a Frontenac. One thing for sure is this kid can skate and shoot and as a one time forward has some great moves from the red line in.
Whoever coined the nickname “Spencer 2.0” is bang on.

Tweeder159, Thanks for taking the time to share these videos,Kid looks good.

I think the Fronts could be a decent team next year.If they can add Godbout and Ilekys as well they will be full of great young players that could be on the verge of something special in Kingston.

Big Buck,

Agreed, but i would like them to take a long hard look at Neil Doef of the '97 Upper Canada Cyclones. Kid has size, creativity, skill, and work ethic. He lead the oemaaahl in scoring last season and is off to a good start this year. Kid has talent.

Also with the picks from last year that were unable to be here because of the four high picks that are signed and playing fronts hockey i feel that we could maybe use some of this years picks to upgrade our 94's so that we have as talented an overage group for the 2014 run as possible.

We could maybe keep our 1,3,4 picks and use picks 2 and 5 to upgrade our 94's. It would be hard for these '97 kids to crack the lineup with the crop we selected from the 96 draft that our playing and excelling in some sort of junior hockey this season.

I am not saying to blow the blue print up but merely stating that if we could improve our team at the trade deadline without giving up the future then go and do it. This would give our players the opportunity to play the most possible playoff games in the next two seasons to ensure that we have the most possible amount of experience come the memorial cup run of 2014.

What do you think?

Examples:

These trades would never happen but i am just trying to illustrate what i mean. If we can get offered a steal that clearly would benefit our team amonst the '94 then do it. Otherwise stand still.

Steele and 5th for Ceci
Jenkins and 2nd for Galenchuk
Steele and 5th for Koekkoek
Jenkins and 5th for Monohan
Schutt and 5th and 6th for Faksa
Morrison and 5th for Altshuller
Steele, Jenkins and 2nd for Finn and Kosmachuk

The more playoff games we can get in between now and 2014 memorial cup run we'll only benefit us in the long run and only deal '94s because they will be overagers that year. We could trade 92 and 93 (won't be here for the run) for 94's. All deals need to clearly benefit us to be made though.

What is it with these Hall Of Fame NHLers who run OHL teams. Doug Gilmour gave away the Goalie Of the Month for Nov 2012 Frankie Palazzese for basically nothing the same way Hawerchuk gave away 20+ goal scorer Smoskowitz for a bag of pucks. I loved you both as players
