DANNY TAYLOR 7GP 12GA in 195 shots = .938
PETR MRAZEK 4GP 7GA in 117 shots = .940
ROBIN LEHNER 9GP 15GA in 260 shots = .942
NIKLAS SVEDBERG 7GP 12GA in 179 shots = .938

KEITH KINCAID 6GP 14GA in 175 shots = .920
__________________________________________________ __

CARTER HUTTON 11GP 32GA in 299 shots = .893
ALEC RICHARDS 3GP 10GA in 60 shots = .833

Comments:

1. STAN doesn't know squat about goaltending.

2. Stan doesn't know sqat about drafting goalies--WHEN and WHO --else we'd have solutions in the AHL pipeline by now..

3. FIRE the Roscford goalie coach -and if it is the same or not as the Hawks goalie coach otprospects system goalie coach-fire that guy too!

4. TAke TONY O out of those marketing commercials and put him to work actually teaching our guys how to stop pucks..

5. Do not blame our Rockford team defense ---we are not getting barraged with that many shots--BUT usually outshoot oppnents and lOSE because our goalies are sieves ..

6. TO quote Rocky (Or to quote what he should be saying to Stan):

"A GOALIE..A GOALIE! MY EMPIRE FOR A GOALIE!"

7. WE must get a GOALIE who can stop the puck in round one of the 2013 draft--are you listening STAN ? Give us some hope!

8. THIS IS PLAIN AWFUL STAN--just AWFUL...and UNACCEPTABLE.

9. FIRE STAN.

10> FIRE STAN.

To make a long repetitive post short, Rockford has the worst goalie tandem in the AHL. Fire goalie coach and draft better goalies next year.

Remember when a few people on this board were insisting Hutton should be playing in important games at the end of the season for the Hawks?

Hutton deserved to be brought back, much like Crawford did after 2011. It's a sad that he's also taken the same route of bombing that Crawford did.

Alec Richards in the AHL is a joke, but Simpson is doing equally bad in the ECHL.

Carruth is of course destroying 16-20 year olds in the Dub, but it's unclear if that would happen in the pros.

Our system having crappy goalies in the pros is no surprise. Our organizational depth in goal for the past few years was at its deepest when we had Niemi, Huet, and Crawford, and honestly that list is a pretty sorry excuse for depth to begin with.

Yeah, great post, the ****ing guy signed Emery TWICE, told me all I needed to know. This is just more of the same. Carruth should be in the AHL. I was pissed at that one. It's just a huge ****ing mess. I agree with the coaching though, enough of Waite, let's bring back Tretiak, he got the most out of the guys we had and that's even only working part time.

Thats what happens when you draft goalies in the late rounds. But to blame it all on Bowman isn't completely right. Tallon did **** all to help our goaltending prospects. We should have a couple young goalies around 23-24 right now ready to break in. Bowman hasn't done any better, but at least in a few years hopefully one of Simpson or Carruth are ready. Tallon did NOTHING about it.

Tallon signed Niemi. He did alright here, eh?

Beyond that he probably thought Crawford was the guy of the future. Doesn't look like that's panning out at this point - but to be fair, it seemed worthy of trying for a good while.

Tallon did nothing with getting goalies... other than Niemi as UDFA.

Hutton deserved to come back as #1, Carruth as overager dominates guys younger than him and Simpson starts being a pro

I know you guys are talking about the people who wanted him to start over Crawford but here are the stats from Emery's last 5 games:

.859 SV% 3.70 GAA

Yeah, not only should it have been Hutton but even the useless sack of crap Richards would matched that or done better.

Richards went to Yale, he has that to fall back on, not a professional hockey career. He's a mediocre ECHL backup.

Carruth, on the other hand, excites me. Of course it's the WHL but when he makes the jump to pro I'll be watching him closely.

If Hawks want they can acquire a young goalie at NHL level with #1 potential

Most goalies that pan out are not blue chip prospects

You draft guys in mid/later rounds for your system and go from there

Not sure why Bowman is being blamed here ,, All his prospect goalies are not even at AHL level to judge (Several are still a year or two away)

The system was bare when Bowman took over outside of Crawford

Considering Subban wasn't even the best goalie of his draft ,, Wasting a 1st rounder on him would have been mistake

remains to be seen. i assume by "best" you mean vasilevski.

...in any event, as pointed out elsewhere, the one's who pan out the best aren't necessarily the ones first chosen. so who knows

i'm glad we got teuvo - after him, i would have taken maatta - after him, i would have taken subban or vasilevski. we're lucky we got a good forward in a draft that was bad for forwards.

just draft a goalie every year in the 6th or 7th round and at some point, one of them will end up as NHL goalie.

Ya, right after Toews, Kane, Keith and Seabrook retire, one of them should be ready.

Yeah i agree with this. The draft a goalie late thing hasn't been working.

To be fair

Its only been done 3 drafts ,, Results wont be coming for a few more years

It was Tallon who ignored the goalie position with only Niemi being worthwhile prospect he brought into system (And luckily it worked)

Outside of that the only prospect goalies to have success in NHL from Hawks system were from Mike Smith era

Haven't seen much of Hutton so I won't comment. Alec Richards is horribad, I've been saying it for the past 3 years. Seriously, I don't know what the hell he has on Hawks brass, but he's a stiff through and through.

Tallon may have thought Crawford was a nice prospect and he didn't need to worry about goalies. Not that he used those picks wisely in other areas lol

But seriously - I'll be more than happy to take a Niemi-type signing by Stan.
