That lost year has really hurt Nash.

Dumont is a beast.

I take that guy in front of Nokelainen anytime.

Could have predicted that the dogs would spend the entire game in their own end. Beaulieu is the only D with St-Denis(even then, it's not his forte) to be able to move the puck with a good first pass and evade pressure. The dogs D's kept rimming the puck on the board and giving it back to the Marlies. I know a message had to be sent and I am all good with it, but the dogs can't afford to put Beaulieu in the stands anymore lol.

On the other hand, the marlies' D's were great at beating our forecheck. Many many times they beat the 3 forwards with only 1 pass creating a 3 vs 2. You really control the play with the way your defensemen play the puck possession game. We also have to mention that Pateryn was great at keeping the puck possession, and it's a shame he's injured.

...no

Nokes is the ideal fourth line center, I dont think we are looking to replace his services unless someone steps up and forces a trade.

I've always liked Dumont. Still do. He's a tough little *******. Everyone says that the Q is softer than the O, but man, do not fool with a tough french guy. As an anglo Montreal guy, I tell you, the toughest guys we played were some of the french guys. By far.

I'd love to see him on Habs, and I think he might make it. He's got hands too.

Somehow, that fight pleases Bruins fans who will find this reason to not care about letting Colborne go. Not sure what Colborne wanted to prove here. That he wasn't tough enough? Check. But that was pretty obvious already.

It's also not kindergarten any more. Beaulieu is now playing pro hockey and is paid quite decently for doing so. Dogs fans pay money to see the team play, and want them to compete. Welcome to the pros kid.

WOW - ever see a pro have a bad game? Let alone a 20 year old... if you expect every player to have a mistake-free game, I'd suggest you save your money and watch on TV. I'd also like to remind you that the AHL is a developmental league. If Dogs fans don't like that I'd suggest they move to a center with an NHL team.

Obvious the lockout is really messing up some fans.

He turns 20 before the new year, so I think it's an exception for those who have late birthdays. Someone like Montreal or habsprospects will likely come in and explain it better. He turns 20 on december 5th.

If by ''ideal'' you mean ''average at best in a very limited role and doesn't stand out in any way'' then you're close to the mark. Nokes is one of the most easily replaceable players on the team.

Yeah and if you are fair and round his age instead of just truncating it, he's basically 20..

And besides at 6'3" ~190 lbs, we should always consider him 1 year older and be harsher

He wouldn't be allowed if he was 19 on Jan 1. That's why players from the CHL born between Sept 15 and Jan 1 can go to the AHL for their 2nd seaons after the draft rather than 3rd.

Dumont was the same, which is why he made the Bulldogs a year ahead of Leblanc despite being from the same draft year.

The thing with Nokes is that he fills the particular need of a 'faceoff specalist'. I'm not a fan, but a need is a need. Unless Eller or DD really improve on the dot, we need a go-to face off guy.

That's coming from someone who loves Dumont.

They should get him on the wing then.
