Silf was quite but made a few plays here and there.

I thought Zib was one of the best players on the ice. Easily could have had a couple of points.

Stone was good too - he's such a smart player.

You didn't ask, but Lehner was fantastic. He's making tough saves look easy. He's making everything look easy at the moment.

Sorry man. This is quite possibly one of the worst QB drafts in a loooooong time.

Yeah, they're better off waiting until the 2nd round and looking at Landry Jones or maybe Tyler Wilson. Most like Wilson better, but I think Jones will be the better QB in the pro's. Neither is a guy to get excited about but both could be good.

Geno Smith and Matt Barkley will go 1 and 2, but I wouldn't take either at #1. Or maybe Pioli will just draft another 3-4 lineman...

I think Boro is trying to be too much knowing he is one of the next call ups if this season ever begins. What I am afraid of is he is going to get hurt in a fight and end up missing some time. The only thing that Wiercioch has on Boro is that his +_ is abnormally high. Three goals in 14 games isn't really lighting it up offensively considering he gets major PP time. Boro needs to play tough hockey NOT stupid hockey. We know that Wiercioch won't play tough hockey because offence is supposedly his game. The only thing that will persuade me differently is if he lays some thunderous checks. I've noticed Benoit stays back more this year covering defensively.

3 goals in 14 games put Wiercioch on pace for almost 20 goals. Pretty stellar for a defenceman.

Not to mention Wier has been great defensively this year. It's the same deal with Karlsson. Just because you aren't overly physical doesn't mean you aren't good defensively.

Haven't seen all the games, but from my viewings plus highlights I've been the most impressed with Lehner and Wiercioch. Lehner is tearing it up with a .945SV%. Wiercioch seems like he could be turning the corner and starting to become the defenseman we hoped he could be.

Wiercioch, Turris and Lehner put a tremendous amount of effort into their off-season training, and it would appear they are reaping the benefits. (although it's hard to judge with Turris being in Europe)

So didn't Boro..he was right there in Ottawa w/those guys..

Weircioch has played a lot better this early on, and Boro may be trying to over-impress, but you can't cut him out of the equation just like that..

I dont have a problem with the way Boro has played so far. I think hes smart enough to reel in the discipline when / if he gets to the big club. And thats really who he is, I dont think the fighting, etc. negatively effects his defensive game.

I'll also add, one thing Luke has not addressed, like KK in Bingo, is keeping the game 'simple'..like others have posted that this yrs players are playing on 'edge' under Luke..

Perhaps Boro has been under KK's rule of keeping the game "simple" to Luke's game of "playing on the edge" is making the transition difficult in some fans eye's..
