I'm still not sure why Pearson was on that team.

Beats me, he was ripping up the OHL so I guess that doesn't hurt. OHL always gets a better look than other leagues. Phillips, MacKinnon, Danault would've been better options but they play(ed) in the Q. Jenner + Bournival were meh too

Thanks for the heads up, forgot the game was tonight and televised. Now I can practice my chants for the next time I'm out in Ann Arbor.

Boucher with his first multi goal game of the year. Johnson pointless in a 6-1 win.

I had a front row seat at the Colts/Sting game tonight. As far as Boucher's play he played very well. I can't say much about his skating (looked fine) but he got to some nice goals. He also had a couple semi break aways. He was getting top line mintues and top pp time, I was really surprised to see him on the pk also. His first goal was on a break away and he shot it top shelf, awesome release, reminds me of Joe Sakic release. Second Goal was kind of a bang bang play and he shot it in the open side of the net.

Ben Johnson looks more like Kory Nagy at this point than Henrique. It was stupid for people to compare him to Henrique anyway and it was only because they both play/played for Windsor.

The similarities couldn't be ignored.

Johnson had a lot similar skill set to Henrique when he was drafted, and their first year OHL numbers were eerily similar. Henrique's offensive potential was a big question mark when he was drafted, similar to Johnson.

"Matteau ejected for ____" seems to be an oft used phrase. The kid has to settle down a bit.

re Matteau's (non)fight and game last night.

Sounds pretty good, even if some parts of the article doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

At least it was for a badly timed fight and not for a dirty hit. This one won't result in a suspension, will it?

Absolutely not. We finally have a prospect that can do it all. Keep him in check, but let him flourish.

From what I`ve seen, none of the suspensions was truly deserved. Two half dives, an overaggressive fight and a fight in the last 5 minutes (which is a stupid rule anyway and should be taken rid off in the NHL too). Keep in mind that CHL doesn`t tolerate much. No one should see that as a bad thing, young players need to be restricted, but you get what I`m saying.

Well yeah, this is what I'm saying. I'm not saying put a leash on him, just make sure he's walking the line on a regular basis and not crossing it on a regular basis. I've seen the suspensions too and while they were dives, they were also dangerous plays that would likely have landed him significant penalties in the NHL too.

No, one of his teammate's was ejected for the same reason earlier in the week and wasn't suspended. However, this is now his third game misconduct so there might be some rule that gets you suspended after a certain number of game misconducts.

I was expecting a lot more from Coleman this year but he hasn't done much. Pietila's could have a big year. He's got 6 goals in 9 games.

Here's the Matteau fight from Friday night. Not much of a fight but the hit leading up to it was awesome.

Ditto on Coleman.

And make that seven in ten for Pietila.

haha love that from Matteau! 2 pretty solid hits in those videos. He looks like he's got decent size, towering over opponents/teammates. Liking the pick more & more.
