I did the math and Bowyer would of been 6 points back of Brad if he finished 3rd last weekend. It could of happened.
Pretty sure it would've been 14... So he ended up 39 points back. He finished 28th last week. Add 25 points to count him in 3rd and that's 14 points back. It really wouldn't have made a difference.
Sidenote: Tony and Carl both had 3 more points last year than Brad did, just for the record.
It looked pretty clear that had JJ's crew and car not gone to pieces, he would've won the race and probably won the championship. BK was playing it too safe and had gotten himself locked in to the middle of the field and was facing a fuel-mileage problem.
That's racing though. Congrats BK! Great to see Penske finally win a championship too.
So those are the cars that are supposed to look more like real stock (consumer) cars? Looks like they get to personalize the headlight, taillight, and grill decals. Even if you took all the sponsor decals off and painted them I don't think they would look like real cars.
A good place to check for next seasons paint schemes.
