I would switch Simmonds and Cousins. I like Cousins, but Simmonds can play a second line. Cousins may never hit that ceiling (I hope he does).
Same here. This team has some really good young talent up front. But Pronger's injury really screwed things up for us and you have to hope that Bryzgalov can get his act together. Because as we all know, without stellar goaltending and good defense. No team is going anywhere.

Niko Hovinen (2-3-0-1, 20 saves) was solid between the pipes to break a personal four-game winless streak of his own. Only a nice poke by Elmira of a loose puck to a wide open Jack Downing 8:19 of the third stopped his chances at a first career professional shutout.
It's great to see him have a good game (well, at least stats-wise), but what's with the "first career professional shutout" write-up? He's playing in this beer league, when compared to the Finish SM-Liiga, and he had a chance to get his first professional shutout? This unfortunately just adds credence to the stereotype of an ignorant North American "hockey" fan.
Damn, none of them seem to have played well tonight. Hovinen allowed 5 goals on 29 shots, and Heeter allowed the same number on 22 shots. Schenn with another goal, though. And who's this Andy Bombach in Trenton? I thought Akeson would be producing the most down there, but it seems it's Bombach who shows up every game.
Oh...I'm sorry they aren't dominating the AHL and ECHL now, a couple months into their first years in both leagues. Not like anoybody improves over time.

Apparently Bhombach actually played 10 games for the Phantoms last season.
Yeah, I was looking at his stats already, but never saw him mentioned as one of our prospects. I know there's a small chance he's anywhere near NHL material, but I hope he gets another chance in the AHL, just to see how he does. He didn't produce much with the Phantoms and IceHogs there, but it was a limited amount of games, and I don't really know what role he was given, might've been limited fourth line minutes.

Yeah, I hope so too. You'd think someone who could do that well in the ECHL could at least be decent in the AHL. Well if he can't make it in the AHL hopefully he can go to a less talented league in Europe and do alright.

Speaking of the Titans.....kind of....Trenton released Luke Pither back to ADK, and was then re-assigned to Wheeling. I think his Flyers organizational career is over.

shame, I don't think his music career is going to take off too
