What do you think of the Astros new look?

Didn't see a thread on this...

Along with their move to the AL West, the Houston Astros revamped their logo and uniforms to a more retro style, just like the Orioles. Do you guys like them?

I personally am not a fan, they remind me of the Mets and Tigers too much. At least they're not as bad as the Marlins uniforms.

I'm having trouble uploading pictures so here is the link to their shop.

Came in wanting to love it, but not so much for me. The logo is too generic, not big on the centre lines, and you've already pointed out the fact they're too similar to the Tigers/Mets.

They missed a good chance and went way too generic, which just goes against everything the Astros have ever stood for.

It saddens me that the two teams with the most unique jersey histories are two of the most boring looking in baseball today (the other being the Padres). I'm all about the classy look, but some teams just need to embrace the fact that they're never going to be the Yankees.

Don't like the orange colour. Don't like the jersey, it looks to simple. The hat is growing on me though. If I can find one, I will buy one. But are all New Era hats flat rim hats?

They can't go wrong with their authentic jersey for 2013. Its original, snappy and suits the franchise. The other ones are milquetoast.

It was brought up in the news and notes thread.

I think they're decent. Not Top 10 or anything but it's a big improvement on the previous look. They go from one of the worst to middle of the pack. My favorite 'stros jerseys are still the Navy and Gold from the 90s.

I do love the Orange hats though, now that they're outta the Cards division I can get one.

Awful. Basically what BigMcLargeHuge said. the Astros have some really awesome quirky jerseys over the years. These are bland and boring. Missed opportunity.

If they didn't say Astros on them, I'd assume they're knock off Mets jerseys.

Seems like since these are baseball jerseys they're boring, but HF usually responds to hockey jerseys with "more than 1 color? Too busy."

I don't understand.

There's a very distinct line between boring and classy (a very easy line to cross in terms of baseball uniforms), and that standard holds up across the board. You don't hear that many people raving about the Bolts' new look outside of Tampa, do you?

Now that you mention it, I do miss the black in Tampa's uni

Now don't get me wrong I love unique looks I just don't understand HF logic sometimes. People hated the Ducks jerseys form the 90's and the "Stargina" from Dallas' Brett Hull era. I love those. I think a variation of these would have been nice...

I always thought the Astros early 90's unis were great. These are a bit generic, but the Astros unis of the 70's and 80's were flat out awful even for their time.

i still think i'm the only one who liked the clay color in their most recent jerseys.

maybe not the clay jersey, but i liked the white at home and grey on the road with sand and clay colors.

never liked the rainblo jerseys.

i did like the orange hats though.

Nope, I'm with you there.

Their basic look the past ~12 years was my favorite look in Astros history, but that's definitely a minority opinion.

It seems like whenever the Astros have changed their jerseys so many people say they don't like them, but loved the last ones. I know several people who hated the pinstripes and red jerseys when they came out and now act like they were the best jerseys ever.

I think half the reason I liked the last designs so much was because I hated the 90s stuff.
