Learned a little while ago that Devils prospect Scott Wedgewood did not accompany the Titans on their trip to Elmira.
Eric Swanick was once again added as the team’s emergency backup.
Wedgewood, who was injured in last Friday’s loss to Reading, was said to be “fine” by New Jersey GM Lou Lamoriello in an interview with Tom Gulitti of The Bergen Record.
“He’s fine, he’ll be right back,” Lamoriello said.

No need to rush him, especially if it is just a one-game trip that he won't play in. He didn't say road trip so I assume that's the case. Let him stay back in Trenton or even Newark and rehab instead of going there just to back-up for one game.
I care about Gelinas and getting lots of play time. He could be an important part of the D corps in the very shortcoming future.

Gelinas started practicing last week. I wouldn't be surprised if he played this weekend
Good. I want to see him back as soon as possible, don't want him missing prime development time with the quality of competition in the AHL being higher this year.
Titans also get a W in a comeback effort. Niko was a late scratch with illness, re-opening the door for Wedgewood, who stopped 25 out 27 shot.. Back to back games this weekend, maybe wedge get that start also.
