Disgraceful way to pretty much end the game.

It's soccer. The league usually wants the bigger draws (ratings) to advance. I was hoping the MLS would be sort of different, but the refs have contentiously given breaks (especially when the likes of Keane and Donovan cry and ***** to the refs) to LA throughout the playoffs.

LA and NY get so much slack from the league.. A legit competitive advantage and more...

Keane is completely unintelligible. I love it.

I'm not sure if I'll watch the Cup final, though. Really depends on what else is on. I'm not very enthused about seeing this match-up again.

I knew we had the chance to make it to the Final again, but no way did I think we would be hosting it again!

And Houston got every call in the East to make sure that LA got the chance to host it.

I really hate those types of handball calls but it was the right decision. Bale and Saurez would have been proud of that Montero dive. He can't even do that right in the playoffs.

LOLOL you guys do realize Seattle sells the most tickets and is constantly the top TV draw for MLS games right?? Can you imagine 65k in Seattle for a final? Yea league would hate that.

Its like Boston Bruin fans saying the league is favoring the Rangers cause its a big market....

Here's a quote from Mark Geiger on the non-hand ball in the 1st half and the hand-ball called in the 2nd half.

Quote:
“The hand was in an unnatural playing position, and he was making himself bigger by taking space. His arms were outside of his body. [Jhon Kennedy] Hurtado’s arm was next to his body, he was not making himself bigger, and this was a case of “ball-to-hand.”
This game should have been a lot closer with the "offsides" on EJ. Seattle got screwed there.

honestly seattle is my fav team after mtl but i can understand the penalty call for LA. He was waving his arms all around like a ****ing monkey. The non-call hand-ball in the LA box during the first game would piss me off a lot more.

People watching on TV is far more important than butts in seats. Is there anyone on Seattle who is as big a draw as Beckham? Nope. LA has gotten every call since Beckham joined the league. LA being in the final is probably worth an extra couple of million watching in the US, probably 10 million worldwide. You think Sponsors don't know that? You think the MLS isn't doing anything they can to make sponsors happy?

Galaxy announce tomorrow is Beck's last game with LA Galaxy.

Lampard or Kaka to LA, book it

Quote:
Beckham on decision to leave LA: "I wanted to experience one last challenge before the end of my playing career."
"I don't see this as the end of my relationship with the league as my ambition is to be part of the ownership structure in future."

Its a sad day for Galaxy fans. Like him or not, you can not deny that he has grown the sport tremendously in the U.S. Hopefully he can win one more cup before he leaves.

As for replacing him, I don't know. I think it is either Lampard or Kaka. I would prefer Kaka. Since we don't know the situation on Donovan, we might have to find a replacement for him as well.

Definitely think it's Lampard going to LA. Kaka will go to NY whenever he decides to come over.

Australian media in a frenzy as well, apparently between Perth/Adelaide/West Sydney/Sydney to sign him.

I'm very doubtful he'll sign in Australia though

Yeah, I don't see it either. He'd be in the same situation he was in 2007.

I think it's between PSG, Celtic, or an EPL return.
