Goalie Scoring Record

Saginaw Spirit goalie Jake Paterson currently has 4 points on the season which ties him with third year teamate Terry Trafford. This got me thinking, while Paterson may not appraoch the record, I was wondering what is the single OHL season record for points by a goalie?

No idea that was something that came to my mind... didn't search. I would think double digits would be the record.

Not sure if 8 is the record but with the advent of the trapezoid it makes breaking the record that much more difficult.

Well if it was indeed Mason in 06-07 it would've been set with the stupid trapezoid.

If ~300 GF team with a great puck moving D had one goalie play 50+ games I could see it happening.

Steve Mason's 8 assists is the all time record. Look at his Bio and it will say he has that 8 assist record and previously had the wins record with 45 in that same 06-07 season. Andrew Engelage broke that record since with 46 wins. That link below, toward the bottom of the page it shows his records.

I"m surprised it's only 8... For some reason that year I thought he had 12 or 13 assists...

I believe the NHL record is 14 for Grant Fuhr. I bet more than half of those were him settling the puck down on a dump in for Paul Coffey and the rest is history.
