Minnesota gives him the better chance to win in the future IMO, especially with Suter in the mix as well.

That's all they were, rumors. We heard rumors about him going to pretty much every big name city for the past two years.
Are you related to him or something? I don't think they're rumors, they turned out to be true. The Suter package deal did. You feel the need to defend him, and actually believe he was sincere. Believe what you want, and keep making excuses for him.

I just don't think the hatred for him is justified. Suter package deal was probably just some journalists attempt at trying to guess to make him look credible.

We have a replacement of sorts for Parise, Kovalchuk steps in as the face of the franchise. We have no adequate replacement for everything Zajac brings, not until Henrique develops further.

I don't get it. I thought Heatley was actually a decent sniper?

I don't though I can't see why people are defending him like they're his agent if someone bad mouths him.

Anyway onto something that matters. If we trade a D this season I can almost see whoever goes being a surprise. I wouldn't be shocked if Fayne or Greene went, though I hope neither do. Someone might be more interested in them than Tallinder because Tallinder went down, and missed the entire second half of the season.

They were our top shutdown pair for the second half of the season as well as the playoffs. Fayne is also on a bargain cap hit. I don't want either of them to go, but them or Tallinder are most likely. Larsson, and Sal ain't going anywhere. Zidlicky likely not, and he's got a NTC that he waived to play for us. Volchenkov NTC, Harrold is just a depth guy.

I think it was a diss on Parise, as in he was asking Heatley how to score from outside the blue paint.

PHILLY TEAM
Goaltender: Martin Brodeur.

Defensemen: Andy Greene, Kimmo Timonen, John Carlson, Braydon Coburn.

Forwards: Steven Stamkos, Wayne Simmonds, Daniel Carcillo, Scott Hartnell, Simon Gagne, Justin Williams, David Clarkson, James van Riemsdyk, Jody Shelley, Steve Downie.

NEW YORK TEAM
Goaltender: Henrik Lundqvist.

Defensemen: Dan Girardi, Steve Eminger, Marc Staal.

Forwards: Brad Richards, Bobby Ryan, Corey Perry, Ville Leino, Jeff Halpern, James Neal, Brian Boyle, Matt Martin, Taylor Pyatt.

Pretty interesting rosters for the AC game, surprised how many different teams are represented and how many players...Girardi will play like 30 minutes too with only three D, but I'd say he's used to it lol.

Well ya, but Heatley is someone you might actually ask for advice on shooting. You wouldn't ask him for advice on winning, like Parise did.

Still wanna make a joke about Heatley, and driving, but I'm a little up in the air on whether it's appropriate or not haha.

Jumping back a couple places, Clarkson will not hit 30 goals again if Zajac stays. Last season was the only season that Clarkson consistently saw top powerplay time.

Zajac was usually the righty that sat in the center on the PP. And in the future, with Elias gone and the powerplay running through Kovy on the opposite wing, it'll probably make more sense to have a lefty like Yayo or Henrique in the middle.

Also yes, Clermont is playing in Elmira right now. He's 2-3-1 with 2.5+ GAA and a .915%.

I definitely do believe Clarkson is perennial 20 goal scorer though. Remember 08/09 he got 17 playing half the season on the 4th line, and some PP time. He was on pace for 20 in 09/10 had he played a whole season, and did see some significant PP time. 10/11 only scored 12 or so, but so did Zajac. Patty, and Kovy were the only guys with 20 or more goals, and I think only 4 or 5 players had 30 or more points.

I think with Parise gone he will definitely see a lot of PP time still.

Deboer loves Clarkson and obviously brings out the best in him. Clarky was tied for second on team just 2 behind Kovy in PP goals. He will get his PP time.

Yeah with Parise gone there's still a spot for him to get plenty of PP time. He's also not on the PK units or at least wasn't last year. So he stays more fresh than the dual role forwards(Kovy, Patty, Zajac, Henrique, Zubrus)

He also can get to the garbage, and he stands in front of that net deflecting weird shots off every part of his body like no other.

There is room on the top PP unit for both Clarkson and Zajac. Zajac will take Parise's old spot below the goal line, and maybe he won't try nearly as many of those stupid stuff plays. Clarkson will stay as the crease man.

Each two hour episode of “New York’s Greatest Hockey Rivalries” will feature host Bill Pidto alongside a pair of MSG’s expert hockey analysts, all of whom played in many of the showcased games and have unique and personal stories to share about their experiences. Dave Maloney and Pat Flatley examine the Rangers-Islanders games while Brian Leetch and Ken Daneyko discuss the Rangers-Devils rivalry.

They could have added Game 6 of this year's series to that list easily.

Maybe I'm wrong, but this could be a possibility. In the 94 ECF the series was shown on MSG(As was the SCF) with Sam Rosen, and whoever. so they had their feed. Nationally they were showing Gary Thorne, and Bill Clement on ESPN, but for local residents it was definitely on MSG. Pretty sure all the games listed were on MSG. The whole playoff series was, and all the regular season games. NBC likely owns the rights to this year's ECF.

It's kinda like how when they had Devils summer ice on MSG this year, they only showed playoff games from the Florida series which was carried by MSG. I'm not completely sure, but MSG might have to pay NBC more money than it's worth.

On the Devils' Facebook page it's listed this way:

Watch our comeback from down 5-1 vs. the Rangers in 2008

EPIC FAIL

I was watching hockey fights from past seasons and I came across this one. I love how Bryce doesn't even wait. He just runs right over Thornton.

And then this one where Boulton decks Murray
