I don't view this as a the end of the world, McGahee is our best RB by a long shot, but it gives Moreno one last opportunity. He either gets to step up and man up or there will be no more NFL for him. So hopefully we get a desperate Moreno who wants to prove he can be the man.
Plus this will be a useful time for Hillman to get some significant playing time. Which should help his development.
And if if everything goes well for McGahee, he might be able to come back for the first rd of the playoffs.
Why can't Gallinari always play like this? Great win over Memphis.
Yeah it was a big game for Galo. I been really disappointed with Iggy though, he needs to start taking more shots, he makes these awesome drives to the hoop then instead of taking an easy look he tries to make some impossible pass to a covered guy.
The biggest thing I saw from the game tonight was how bad Memphis flops especially Gasol. If the NBA is serious about their new flopping policy they need to be contacting Gasol. The guy is like 7'1 280lbs but every time he got touched he would flail around and hit the ground. It was a joke.
I have no idea where to put this, but the team I cheer for in the Finnish Elite League has 12 players out injured who all would be in the line-up (or close to at least) if they would be healthy: (I put the names in for fun and to see who I'm missing) Goalies: Back-Up (Tuohimaa) Defensemen Both Top-2 (Eronen, Väänänen (yup that one)) Top-4 (Nordlund) Top-6 (Lindbohm, well actually this guy is suspended) Forwards Two 1st liners (V. Filppula, Eaves (bro of the ones playing in NHL)) 2nd liner (Hardt) Two 3rd liners (Heino, Henritius) Two 4th liners (Salminen, Ben-Amor)
And on top of this we have 4 players just back from injury (Teräväinen, Rita, Niemi, Lamberg).
Great going over here
I'm so pissed cause today is the day when I'm going to the game.
And 8 of these 12 were injured in the past 3 games (Filppula, Ben-Amor, Lindbohm (suspended), Hardt, Väänänen, Eronen, Tuohimaa, Nordlund)
Moreno played well, Manning kind of sucked. Defense was meh, though Charles is a top 5 back.
Moreno was our best offensive player, 85yards rushing another 26 receiving for a total of 111 yards of offense. I thought if we could get 100 yards of offense out of him we'd dominate. We obviously didn't dominate the game but it felt good to see Moreno play so well.
The offensive line had their worst game of the year, Manning was under constant pressure, often times it was only a 4 man rush. The O-line got dominated by KCs D-line which was discouraging.
Prater has hit his usual mid-season slump. Missed 4 of his last 6.
Miller had a bit of an off day, but still managed a sack.
Manning was a bit off, not all his fault as I mentioned the O-line was miserable. His INT was miserable, not sure what he saw.
Just overall a lack-luster game by pretty much everyone. It seemed like no one was interested in playing hard. Kind of like we looked at their record and decided it would be easy. Thank goodness we have a vet QB that made just enough plays to avoid an embarrassing loss. I expect a much better performance next week, I don't think Manning will put up with this garbage and he'll get the team back in line.
