I would welcome Lampard, being a Chelsea fan and all. But in terms of on-field product, I would take the younger Kaka. Wish we could sign both.

Wonder how much Big Phil moving on could impact any move the Gals make.

I don't think AEG's sale will have any impact on a new signing for LA. Phil, whoever the new owners turn out to be and MLS know when you lose a player on the level of a Beckham, you have to go out and get a player at or near that quality.

A player like Lampard, Kaka, Drogba, Ronaldinho, or even a Rio Ferdinand would make national headlines, similar to Beckham.

I do think MLS is in much better shape with Beckham leaving than NASL was when Pele left.

There's a lot more "Team" fans now than there was back then. It seemed like NY Cosmos and the entire NASL was more of a Harlem globetrotter soccer circus than an actual league.

most of the western conference teams have strong fanbases now and things are getting better in the east, though some of those teams still struggle with attendance.

A new aging star like Kaka, Lampard, or Drogba would make some sport news. But i don't think it'll come even close to the attention Beckham got.

Beckham was never the greatest soccer player on the planet. But he was one of the most Iconic.

I really don't see him moving to Australia. That league has Del Piero and if he's going to make the league better he would've left a few years back.

I think he'll either join Preston (Former club), Leyton Orient (Local club) or go to China.

I think its PSG. He said a new challenge. Never played in France. Seems to add up.

Although, he did say he wants to play every week...not sure that would happen at PSG. So maybe Celtic makes more sense from that POV.

I don't see Beckham leaving Galaxy to just go to another MLS team. If he doesn't retire he'd probably head to another league he hasn't played for. He's already a champion in MLS not really a challenge to try again for another team.

Word is that Lampard to LA Galaxy is "all but done". Just haggling over arrival time as Lamps wants to finish season with Chelsea #MLS

No chance. He'll leave MLS for another league, and I can't imagine anyone except Paris St Germain. Manchester, Madrid, Los Angeles, Milan and Paris is a wonderful quintet of soccer glamour cities ... only Barcelona and maybe Munich belongs with them.

So LA won't get Lampard in January since he wants to finish the season with Chelsea? No transfer fee, then? He is a free agent in the summer.

If so, then he can sign a pre-contract in the winter. So should know pretty soon.

Beckham spoke with the galaxy insider and when he asked him if he was going to be in MLS next year, he said no.

Manchester. Madrid. Los Angeles. Milan. Celtic???

Paris fits in "glamour club" mold far better than Glasgow. I just don't see it. Posh and Becks in Glasgow?

Australlia could be an outside possibility. Fits both Becks & Victoria as well as their Children academically & life style (language) wise. Sydney seems a picture perfect fit at this moment of time IMO

Ladbrokes have Perth as favourites...

Could always buy a mansion on the Swan River for a few million, not bad

I would imagine West Sydney are in with a big chance though, Perth / Melb Heart have to dig out of their own pockets to sign him, FFA will use their own money to get Beckham to West Sydney because they currently own them

4:30.

I got LA 2-1. Don't see the Galaxy losing Beckham's final game. (MLS won't let them )

On the Lampard rumor, not seeing it. Grant Wahl is reporting their main target is Kaka and they are trying to sign him first. Seems Lampard is a back up option.

It's still possible that both end up in LA. Donovan has been talking about retirement for a good 6 months now. Unlikely, but possible.

I saw enough of Torres today. Why the **** did Landon have to imitate him?
