Peoria simply moved up a level? Some inconsistencies in the article.

There were two errors in just that one paragraph.

Because I won't remember to look at that site I hope someone posts a link to the second part tomorrow.

AHL teams can be demoted to the ECHL and ECHL teams promoted to the AHL? I thought it was only like that in Europe.

Why not go a step further and have the Calder Cup winning team play a 7 game series against the team with the worst record in the NHL to move up?

If that was in place, imagine if Pittsburgh and Wilkes Barre faced off against each other. Im sure PIT would call up everybody under contract .

That's assuming WBS would ever win the Cup

About the articles:

A few questionable statements, but I wonder if it is more the writing than the lack of understanding on the author's part. Very informative stuff, actually.

I like this parageraph, a good rationalization for minor leagues as a whole.

I'm glad that someone posted that given that WB/S has yet to win a Calder Cup.

Just out of curiosity, what exactly is the point of these articles? Are they trying to convince the Everblades ownership to move up to the AHL?

The one quote that stood out in my mind was "The Blades are the Yankees of the ECHL.". Just take away the fact that the Blades have only been around for 8 years and have never won a title I guess they are the same thing.
