Just to update, Trevor is off to another good start this year in the EJHL with six goals and four assists in ten games.

Can't wait to see this kid at UNH.

Hmmm. I'm sure the Flyers will/are looking into him.

I saw him on Sunday and he played well. He didn't standout but will be a solid DI player

He'll fit right in. In addition to Phil's brother, Blake...they've got Joe Pavelski's brother Scott.

Bump. I think he just vaulted himself onto the Flyers' radar with his performance at their prospect camp. He was the best player on the ice today. His skating seems to have improved greatly because he had a couple of nice rushes, and he made some great outlet passes. He also scored a beauty of a goal on a penalty shot. I think he would be best off playing another year at UNH before signing a contract, but I think the Flyers will definitely be keeping an eye on him.

Saw him in a few games with UNH.

He has decent mobility but is still a very raw prospect. He has the frame but needs more muscle. He has the smarts but needs more poise and consistency. He has a strong shot that he gets to the net, and has the frame to be a strong obstacle defensively.

But again, needs muscle and needs to slow down his game.

He looked really good in the Sens development camp. I'm disappointed we didn't invite him to the main camp.

I hope the Sens try to sign him when he leaves school. Looked mobile and has some noticable skill as a defenseman. I liked him over other college D like Chris Wideman and Tim Boyle (college bound) at the Sens dev camp.

Another free agent prospect for the Flyers? Like to see how he turns our, they seem to be pretty successful with supplementing their prospects with free agents. Read, Gustafsson, Bobrovsky.

I only saw him on two days, and he did not look that good, did not stand out. Against scrubs maybe, but he looked 3 levels behind Ceci who does not look NHL ready yet, despite being 2.5 years older. NHL career potential? At this point very small.

Brendan seems like a player to keep an eye on, iyam. Seems like his game is progressing nicely. Would love to see BvR and JvR playing together.

He's looked pretty solid this year on a team that looks to compete for the national title. Should start to take notice.

Blackhawks sign free agent defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk on a two-year contract. Brother of JVR.
