Great screen by both Gordon and Schroeder on that goal.

Admirals get a goal off a beautiful deflection.

It's certainly strange to hear of Schroeder screening a goalie...

That goal energized the Admirals. So I think it's more that they finally picked up their play than that Wolves are playing much worse. I have yet to see the Wolves play a really good game this season.

It always seems like everyone takes part of the game off. Still, it's nice to see Rodin finally collecting some points.

Dang, I want to see this... how's the team looking out there overall? And defensively?

Defensive zone: ok, lucky + Lack
Neutral zone (and breakouts): crap
Offensive zone: very good, sometimes a bit lucky

Excited about him now! To be honest, I didn't like the pick back at the draft...but now I'm excited.

Play without the puck and defensive zone is definitely a work in process. Telegraphing passes sometimes, double coverage, and some standing around.

They look terrific tonight - have dominated the game pretty much from the start, allowed few chances and are out-shooting the Admirals badly. And scored 4 goals, which is a nice change.

Tanev and Kassian in particular have looked excellent.

Looks crap by NHL standards but isn't anything out of the ordinary at this level. I think some people expect a bit much in terms of the standard.

Kassian is very much in and out of the play today. He's had a few excellent shifts, but the rest he's not receiving passes, turning over the puck and not being physical. He needs to be more consistent.

Tanev has been excellent for the most part.

Thanks. Their breakouts and movement up ice were areas that looked much too disorganized for my liking in the last two games or so. Perhaps it's due to the lack of puck-moving ability on D - it could even be an issue all year.

Whatever system Arniel's trying to put in place, he better do it quick because the team can't keep relying on luck and Lack standing on his head to win, even though they have been sometimes unlucky with goals themselves.

I mean, I've already given up on the prospect of an NHL season this year so it'd be awesome to see the farm team go on a long playoff run. Would be huge for some of these guys' development. Not sure how long it usually takes AHL teams to gel but it should be soon...
