OT: Ryan Murray

Hearing that he now has a potentially major shoulder injury, how surprising is it that the Oilers didn't pick him first overall??

The way the Oilers have had bad luck with injuries, especially shoulders, it would have seemed perfect that we picked him.

What are your guys feelings on this, related to the Oilers with injuries??

Feel bad for the Blue Jackets fans. missed the first pick and now Murray is hurt. Oh well injuries happen, and usually to oilers.

well everytime a canuck fan brings up the fact the only reason why they lost the final was due to injuries I say all teams suffer injuries---guess i have to use it here as well

It sucks, but it shouldn't harm his development as much as some guys. He's already a very polished product

Strange question. How are we supposed to feel about a young player getting seriously injured?

Badly. Nobody should be happy about picking one guy vs. another guy or glad that it happened to a rival. I personally hope he does well and this is just a one time thing that in no way impedes his career.

Ryan Murray: Injury prone

Also: Ryan Murray needs to keep his head up.

You won't read that around here. That is only for Hall according to hF.

there really is nothing else to talk about. It's this, or we could always start discussing the weather?

I'd much rather discuss the weather.

I'm not surprised. He's thin and weak.

I always thought Ryan Murray was destined to be an Oiler.

Really hope he recovers well. Wish him nothing but the best (except for when he plays the Oilers).

Don't really care either way.

Well...FWIW...he was exepcted to play a big role with our JR team over Christmas.

With Ryan Murray no longer an option...guys like Griff Reinhart move up the depth chart and guys like Matt Dumba now have a realistic chance to make the team et al.

There is a WHL thread throw it in there. Don't need a thread everytime a non-oiler that is going to play for team canada at an international event gets hurt.
