This article provides an early glimpse at some of the talented young guns to keep an eye out for, for the 2014 NHL Draft. While the 2013 draft promises to be yet another very talented draft class, the 2014 draft contingent certainly will not disappoint.

Here are the top 20 NHL 2014 Draft eligible prospects:
Include another Reinhart, Schmaltz, Audette, Nylander, Ritchie...

Good list. A few others I like as possible first rounders are Jared McCann from Soo, Shane Eiserman from the NTDP, and Sam Bennett and Spencer Watson from Kingston. Watson is actually leading the Fronts in scoring right now.

Thanks Josh - guy who are definitely on "The Next Ones Draft Radar" as well.

Who else impresses readers?

I've been pretty impressed with Jaden Lindo of the Attack.

Good chance he'll be a major contributor to that team next season.

Chase DeLeo from Portland could possibly rise, first round talent. Small feisty forward with a ton of skill. Having a good year so far 19 points in 22 games, put up 30 points in 69 games last year playing on the 3rd-4th line with not much pp time.

Interesting to see Koys pop up again, wonder how he'll fare in the Q.

Been mentioning him for a while now, think he'll take the people who don't know him by storm next year.

F Alexis Pepin

D Olivier LeBlanc

Jack Eichel is another promising prospect playing in the states.

Eichel's 2015. But I didn't like Pepin at first but wow has he ever impressed me this year. Slick hands.

Don't forget Jace Hawryluk in this discussion
http://www.whl.ca/roster/show/id/10645
Same ppg as Point (0.7) and only just starting to be given PP time. He's stuck on the 3rd line, he is a combo of Schenn and Calvert, fiesty and fast.

I know it's still early but does anyone think that this draft may eventually come down to Ekblad vs McKeown for first overall?

I was impressed by him as well, plays bigger than his size and is in a great environment for development.

I didn't see Iverson play since he was out at the game I was at.

Paul Bittner looked okay as well but he is a 15 draft and it's too early to tell.

I'm not good with birthyears, but I am pretty sure he is 2013 eligible.

I think every "early" list will be CHL biased because majority of the Europeans aren't in the scene yet, but still a solid read Chris. Only thing it lack was De Leo who has looked like 1st round talent this year.

Quenneville from Brandon could be a dark horse for the first round as well

Very much so. Dano and Reway are miles ahead of him. Even despite the fact the other two are a year old, Koys is a long way behind.

Already assuming he'll go undrafted in 2013 because of the Russian factor?

He's considered a top 5 pick in this years draft by some.
