As a BC fan im hoping the Bs pick up one(or more) of their recruits cause theres a numbers of them in the first couple of rounds. Steve Santini, Ian McCoshen, Ryan Fitzgerald, Scott Savage, and Connor McGlynn
Anyone have some in-depth info on JC Lipon? Passed over despite a good offensive season last year and is now averaging 2pts/gm. Obviously has the benefit of a good line playing with Bozon so curious about the skating and skills and how they might translate. Also curious why he was passed over....65 pts in 69 games in the WHL is nothing to sneeze at in your draft year, he has a decent enough frame and I see a 111 PIM's. I read an article that where scouts viewing him this year said he was on par with late 1st rounders and second rounders from the 2012 draft. Also discusses how he was a considerable, national wake boarding talent so he may just be discovering or redefining his natural athleticism?
Nice to see Shea Theodore rated so high. Haven't really seen a Tbird rated so high since Thomas Hickey (whose game actually hasn't translated so well to the pro game).
Made it half way through the league off memory and come up with 0 Q guys. They produce goalies and small talented forwards for the most part. Only guy I can recently think of on WJC team is Cormier.

Yeah, i get what your saying. I still wouldnt not draft a player for that reason tho. Alot of people used that reasoning(past success of the program) as a reason not to draft Kopitar out of Slovania.
Oh, and we can add Sean Couturier to that list. So its 2 i guess lol
So with many claiming the 2013 NHL Draft could rival the 2003 Draft for depth and talent, I took a numerical look back at the 2003 Draft for our monthly E-Zine Magazine.
Last lockout we ended up with Matt Lashoff over TJ Oshie, Steve Downie, James Neal, and Marc-Edouard Vlasic, Petr Klaus over Pavelec, Stastny, Latendresse, Mason Raymond, Kris Letang, and John Quick, and Jonathan Siglet over Keith Yandle.
If we pick in the 20s, I will be pissed if dont take Anthony Mantha
Guys a beast and broke out bigtime this year!
6ft3 205lbs
25-23-19-42
Would love to see the likes of Mantha, Lucic, Camara running guys thru the boards for years to come
Does he play like that? I will try to catch a game when he comes to town.
I am familiar with Drouin, Carrier, Duclair and Etchegary. The last one I think could be a nice mid round pick, character plus the fact he comes from the Rock.

Here's to hoping 2013 goes a bit better.
To be fair, a lot of other teams passed on Neal, Stastny,Yandle, etc.
On a positive note, Petr Kalus did net the Bruins Manny Fernandez.
A few guys are slowing down after fast starts. Ryan Kujawinski and Stephen Harper were both pegged as late 1sts/early 2nds and now I wouldn't be surprised if they are both mid to late 2nds at this point. I like both players for the Bs, high character big bodies with some grit. 1st round I'm really hoping duclair is around or Steve santini. One is an electric wing with elite speed and hands and the other is a big physical D man. I think both fit some potential needs in the future
