I will go as far as to say that this was the best sports game ever played. Yes, I said it.
I remember crying during that game. Salim was on fire. Thought it was all over. Still my favorite team ever. Would give anything for them to have a ring. I will never forget that team and the enjoyment they gave me. I still remember when they killed Wake Forest early, the OT win against Iowa, Ingram coming up big against Wisconsin, etc.
The unselfishness, trust, teamwork, bond that team had was just incredible. Really am hoping that the program gets anywhere near that point again. Groce is a sick recruiter. I just want those guys from the 2005 team get to see the Illini win it all.
Is it wrong that I'm honestly thinking that Notre Dame is going to lose to USC just because it fits in nicely with my idea of the sports gods raising something up only to bring them crashing down just when they think they're in the clear and on the verge of celebration?
Because that would be hilarious to see that bubble burst in a big way.

Some would say that if that's wrong, they don't want to be right.

Hell, I've been watching ND all year waiting for it to happen, was hoping for it to happen in that Pitt game. Nevertheless, they ain't beating Alabama, no way, no how. Speaking of which, I'm going to throw $100 on Alabama if that happens because you know all the ND fans are going to **** up the lines.

They won't mess them up too much. Anyway, Vegas always adjusts.
Got home in time to see the second half. Convincing win Nice start. Can't wait until to see how good this team is when Sam, Tyler, and Egwu all get more comfortable inside. We know they can all shoot. Expecting them to be ranked soon.
