6 - Number of playoff series the Capitals have won since George McPhee took over as General Manager in 1997 (which makes him the third-longest-tenured GM in the League), three of which came in McPhee's first season on the job.
Great win by DC United. Only got to watch the 2nd half, but hey that was where all the action was. Thought on the PK, that the RB player may have been offside and then embellished on the OGSO which sent off Hamid, but it was fitting and correct on the PK encroachment call. A lot of Karma at work in that game for United.
Chelsea-QPR is different. It's such an insane rivalry that lord knows what will happen. Chelsea has failed to score a goal against them in 3 of the 4 league matches since QPR was promoted at the end of the 10-11 season I believe.
Bertrand doesn't do much for me yet, but Ashley Cole is probably in the middle of his worst stretch at Chelsea, he's been putrid for the last 2 months. I really like Azpilicueta. Although I prefer Ivanovic on that side, I like Luiz as defensive midfield a heck of a lot more. It really is a good fit for him, and we can't do that if Ivanovic can't play CB.
The announcers were bashing Benitiez for a 2nd class lineup.
You can't run out the same players every game and if you can't use some squad players against the bottom team in the table who can you use them against?
Against Southampton Arsenal looked tired and the announcers were saying he should have used his squad depth more.
It's one thing to dress a couple of backups. It's another thing to take out Hazard, Cole, Mata and Ramirez. Pick 2 for the QPR game, and rest the other 2 against Southhampton on Saturday.
Don't forget that a lot of teams will be resting lots of starters against lower division clubs this weekend in the FA cup, while Chelsea was unfortunate in their draw of Southhampton.
