agree. He prepares and you can tell that he loves doing it. I tune into BC games when in the car and he blows away some of the national guys- actually many.

I'd hire him to do mid day on 98.5 and the Patriots games on the weekend with Zolak. The time he went out in the parking lot to catch passes from Zo was hilarious.

You want to talk about him doing play-by-play for Pats radio, that's a different story. I liked him doing Bruins games. If Meter gets that gig, consider the eighth sign of the apocalypse to be upon us.

Gresh...the Pete Schleppard of 98.5.
Dale was the only guy who would talk hockey when I started listening to sports radio way back in the early 90's. His style may not play now, but it's still better than most the bozo's in the midday.

I thought Tanguay was the designated heir to the Pats' PBP job?

In any event, Meter's voice annoys me. He sounds like Bobby V's illegitimate love child.

And you think tanguay's voice is less annoying? haha. No way tanguay takes over and if he does it would be a mistake. I don't think he could call a good game. Meter although a bit annoying has some good experience from working bc games.

Got that right. The thought of either one taking over for Santos is revolting.

McDonough continues to not call Boston games.

Meanwhile Don Orsillo will call them for the next 25 years.

I recently upgraded to Pandora One, as I've learned that I can't really stomach sports radio when there isn't hockey discussion at least sprinkled in. I love football, but it makes for horrible talk radio fodder.

Somebody get Tom E. Curran his own ****ing show.

Curran and McAdams would produce the best show in the country.

I listened to him in the early 90s, too. Company Man was, is & always will be lame.

Sean is great, and I hate baseball. Knows hockey & appreciates it as well.

And, why use one word when three will suffice?

I don't like Paul Perillo. As soon as he comes on I turn it off instantly.

Totally disagree.

Not just because he is from Everett either.

Gosher in on 98.5 today. He's really good and should have his own show.

Haggs was on TSH this am talking about the mediator being brought in for the negotiations, and he laid this whole lockout at the feet of Jacobs. Said he was the driving force behind it and why it was still going on. Pretty funny because T&R had no comment, since the station is affiliated with the team...

I think he's awful.. but i'll listen when he's on because it gives me hope that some day I too could become a hack for the pats. I heard him say two weeks ago that tom brady has made the offensive line better.. that breaks the conventional thought of the past.. what..50 years that the fat bodies in front of you is what makes you great.. not vice versa. After i heard that I almost crashed my car with rage. Nevermind the fact when he gets angry he's slightly more masculine than mazz and slightly less than felger which is mind blowing.

p.s. him being from everett is about the 10th thing thats wrong with him ()

I love T&R.. i listened to the interview this morning as well. I think its been said so many times and so many people believe there isn't anything else to say . I mean listen to felger and mazz when they bring up the lockout its a JJ flame session.

That absolutely makes sense.

Brady is a master at reading coverages and identifying pre-snap what the defense plans to do.

He often calls out protection schemes.

That clearly and easily makes the offensive line better.

It doesn't mean Brady doesn't rely on them as well or that they don't protect him, but he does make their job easier and therefore makes them better.

I have also heard Perillo rag on the Pats plenty of times.

yes, he makes them better, as compared to Bledsoe who made them look worse than they actually were.
