He's a top 5 goalie in skill set and a top 2/3 goalie in trade value.
Just don't see it, I think he is a tad overrated. Good defensive team in front of him with good but not great stats. Obviously he is solid and without a doubt a number 1 but at this point not worth a major center degrade and a great prospect. If you think he is tell me why not your arbitrary opinions.
Hell no from montreal. Price is a 5th overall, 25 year old, 3 time all-star goaltender and Galchenyuk is currently tearing it up in the OHL and was a 3rd overall pick.
RNH would be a great addition to Montreal but I do think that if Galchenyuk reaches his 75-85 point potential, he is more the type of player montreal needs. Galchenyuk is about 6"2, 205 pounds while RNH is about 6"1, 175 pounds.
Dubnyk would be a huge downgrade in net, Klefbom is a good prospect but Beaulieu, Tinordi and Ellis can fill that need and Montreal has 3 2nds already.
The way I see it, Montreal will get worse from this trade. Losing a starting goaltender and top prospect for a 1st line center that we will get in Galchenyuk, mediocre starting goaler and prospects.

Ha! All that means is he's a) young enough that he's willing to waste a weekend off during the season and b) popular.
All-star selections don't have the luster or importance that they once had.

I dont see anything special in RNH aswell. Overall the big 4 is overrated and very meh

You clearly don't watch RNH much then. As someone who tries to judge guys as unbiased as possible and has been watching RNH since junior, the guy is unbelievable. If anyone on the oilers will impress you, he's the guy. I'm not denying I'm an oilers fan, but I never bought any of the Cogliano, Gagner and especially Nilsson hype.

Let me guess, you see Yakupov as top value, right ?

53 points in 62 as a sub 180 pound 18 year old. Amazing top end speed, with a ridiculous on ice vision with a quick accurate wrist shot. The number one overall pick has a chance to become one of the top point scorers in the world, he transformed the 27th PP to the 2nd with his ability to find seams on the ice and weave the puck through them onto the eventual goal scorer's stick. RNH has the ability to control the puck under pressure and can win battles in tight, when his size catches up to his peers watch out cuz "hiss hiss that's nuge's puck".

I wonder who that reminds me of, only with the size to go with it and a year younger.
Not a chance from MTL. A severe downgrade in net for a slight upgrade in center, no thanks. We'd rather just wait for Galchenyuk to develop so we can have our #1C, #1D and #1G.

You can't compare what someone is doing against kids to what the other is doing against men. Right now the value between Gally and RNH isn't close. Nuge put up an 0.84 ppg in the NHL at age 18 while being the smallest guy on the ice most nights. He was the consensus first overall pick who has progressed well.
