While I am a lowly Mariners fan, I actually think the Jays may have a legit chance to contend next season which would be nice to see for once.

AA has done a great job putting together that team.

I was a pretty big Jays fan a couple years ago and would actually watch them all the time on TV. Slowly, I've slowly become less and less of a fan and I don't even pay too much attention to them anymore. However, I still cheer for them and are pretty pumped that they got these trades done. I stopped watching them because they got too boring, but with this new lineup they might get me to start watching again.

When I heard the trade went down last week, i nearly crapped my draws
Then the Cabrera signing... AA is really trying to make a push.

I still think there are more deals to be made

They have 3 major league catchers. One will have to go. My money is on JP.

They also need to do something about 1st. I would love to see an upgrade there, however that may be easier said then done.

Pretty pumped for March to come!

Beyond impressed with AA. Amazing work this winter. Maybe the Jays will pull an Argos and have their new acquisitions bring them to the World Series.

Any guesses for the Grey Cup? I'm pulling for Toronto. Wanna see Ricky Ray do well. It's also mandatory as an Edmontonian for me to hate Calgary.

Recycling previous managers can bring a lot of criticism, for obvious reasons, which it seems to be. But, I think Gibbons is good choice, and I think he's a bit underrated right now. Guy doesn't take any crap, players like him, like playing for him and respect him, he's smart in how he utilizes his bullpen, etc.

I am a bit surprised by the hiring, but I do like it. I think John Gibbons can do well with this team. His traits will rub off on them, and I think it's a good recipe.

I was pretty surprised to see that, but I really liked him as a manager. It will be interesting to see what he does with a legit roster.

Has anyone seen The Epic Rap Battles of history on you tube? I highly suggest it, as they are highly hilarious. I'd post one, but I post from my iPhone...so tough...but check it out.

This fall has been teh suck with no hockey!

Been buried in BL2 for the past while to help ease the suffering that is no hockey.

For the record on the "Red Cups" debate. Just bring in a flask and add the 2nd ounce yourself.

That's true. For an Iron Maiden concert a few years back I was way on the other side of the arena and the view was just fine. Even up in the 300s you get a killer view.

Anyone watch the 2007 Jrs tonight? Pretty good game I thought. I'd forgotten how outstanding Carey Price was/is.
