It starts in net. It's no coincidence that Anaheim started to regain some of that confidence when Hiller got his game in order. How can the players in Norfolk feel confident they can win when they are always playing catch-up, or wondering when the next soft goal is?
The truth is I don't think goaltending is the only problem... but I sure as hell think it starts there, and it's just hard to know exactly where this team stands when the goaltending is so shakey. That type of thing resonates throughout the team. Morale drops. Players get frustrated. You can't win like that.
I wish management would ship Bobkov to the ECHL and bring in a veteran like Dan Ellis to shoulder at least half of the workload. As bad as JDDs stats were in the AHL last year, he has to be an upgrade on the Andersen/Bobkov duo, right?

That game sucked. If I'm going to watch games that suck, I'd prefer them to be NHL games.
Exactly my rants of late, If this was Amaheim no one would be giving excesses about they dont care if they win of lose, because its "DEVELOPMENT". They are developing into losers, with no HEART!!!.
Bring in some players with heart, you can block more shots, no one sacrifices bodies for this team,. why because its not the SHOW?> Maybe someone might remind these players that losers dont last in the NHL no matter how much they develop! Ill take heart over skill any day Just ask the LA KINGS!!!!

Dude to be honest, that's what most of us care about, the prospcets. I certainly don't care if the team wins. It'd be nice if some of our prospects got used to winning down there. But, I just want to see progression out of guys like Lindholm, Vatanen, Palmieri, Holland, DSP, Etem, maroon, Wagner, and others.

And I stand 100% behind that statement. This team should have at least two more wins and therefore 2 less losses if it wasn't for the absolutely horrible goaltending.
They have enough heart. They aren't a perfect team at all. But, they're young, learning, and growing. The biggest problem BY FAR is in net. It's almost impossible to win when you know your goalie is going to give up 3-4 soft goals a game.
If one of the Ducks fans only cares about the players there, why should that bug you. No one here is Anaheim's GM or owners.
This is also a forum to talk about Ducks prospects. If the game is out of hand early on, we're likely to spend the rest of that game talking about the individual performances.
