Abramovich is a complete moron. Di Matteo has finally taken Chelsea to the heights that they hoped for when they shed billions for the last decade and a bad stretch throws that away? This is why Chelsea doesn't deserve nice things.

Don't understand why any coach would want a job at Chelsea. Has to be the least secure job in all of soccer.

Biello is the perfect "puppet" for NDS and Saputo.

When they got rid of Dos Santos at midseason last year, De Santis came down to run the team. Figure if Biello was destined for more responsibilities than he has now, they'd have let him hold the reins the rest of the way in 2011 rather than take De Santis away from prepping for MLS.

Biello is a farce.

It is going to be hard to find someone (In North America) that is going to want to come in after what happened to Jesse and the way it happened.

You get 3 years pay for 1 year's work. Pretty good deal if you ask me.

Yes and No. If you are someone like Roberto Di Matteo, yes it is. If you are Pep Guardiola, no it isn't. Money doesn't matter at this point. I mean, yes it is important, but in between (Hypothetically) replacing Arsene Wenger and knowing the Arsenal Board will give you a MINIMUM of 5 years at 100K per week, or going to Chelsea with a constant uncertainty at 150k per week, what do you chose?

I'd personally (If I were Pep) go with Arsenal, not because I'm a fan, but because I have some money from Barca, and what is important is stability. I'd rather be comfortable, secure and gain 5 million per year , rather than gaining 7,8 Million per year but being uncertain.

Obviously this situation that I am portraying is mostly for managers who have experience, have some money, and do it for the job, not for the paycheck.

But there are some people who work with both; prime example is Abramovich's good friend Jose Mourinho. He would fit in perfectly in Chelsea (again). Anyways we all know he will leave Chelsea before he gets the chance of getting sacked

Yes but there is no guarantee that you will last 5 years with Arsenal. You may get more time but you also get less funds to work with.

You would still get fired if you finish 6th with Arsenal or with Chelsea.

Hope to hear that Lefevre (French academy player) is signed soon. He's ready imo to play with the Reserves.

He still has plenty of time to get there. He showed some great flashes this year, especially at one point there was a ±10 game stretch where he was awesome (during our 5 game win streak). The fact that he gets to practice and play with guys like Nesta, Ferrari and Rivas can only help him develop.

I think he'll become a good defender, but doubt he'll be one of the best in the league. Obviously as an IMFC, I hope he does becomes one of the best. IMO, you have tier 1 with about 10-15 elite/great defenders and then I think he can be a part of tier 2 with some very good defenders.

Time will tell, but he's still young (will turn 24 in about a week) and has potential. I really believe Zarek and Jeb can become the best pair of outside backs in the league. I'm talking 2-3 years down the road and that's if we keep them and give them playing time. Zarek is 21 (only turns 22 mid season) and also showed some flashes, but in his case, he has to stay healthy. Seems like everytime he got his chance he played great but got injured shortly after.

Man, MLS season isn't even over and I can't wait for the Impact to start next season

Edit: And there's no hockey to keep me occupied haha! Thank god for the NFL, that should keep me occupied until end of January. By then the Impact will probably be starting their training camp!

Old news lol. I found it weird too but we're talking about abramovich here. A lot of ppl talk good about rafa but I think he's overrated.

Old news? He was appointed yesterday and, as far as I've seen, no one talked about it yet here.

Well I'm going blind because there's no mention of Rafa in the page just before... just that Di Matteo was fired.

I hope Lampard joins the MLS (probably LAG) instead of going to China.
