Bears offense is an absolute mess right now

- Chilo Rachal quit today after being demoted in favor of Chris Spencer
- Tice called out Carimi/Webb in press and in lockerroom
- Tice also threw Campbell under bus by saying "He hopes to God Cutler is back soon"
- Marshall had confrontation with Rachal/Webb on sidelines

There's only like three of us. Probably just as many Packers fans just not as vocal.

Harbaugh is hinting to a Smith/Kaepernick tandem similar to Sanchez/Tebow.

While I'm sure if anyone can get it to work it can be Harbaugh I'm still not a fan of that route.

Sanchez/Tebow might have worked if they used either QB properly. Smith/Kaepernick is a more talented duo, and I trust the SF coaching staff to use it properly.

Difference is both Smith/Kaepernick are talented QB's

Tebow is not a QB and Sanchez is one of the worst in recent memory to hold a #1 job for 4 years

I think any combination of QBs is pretty stupid to be honest. 49ers should see how Smith feels, and if he's not clearly 100%, you let Kaepernick start again and see how that goes.

As much as Smith has been through, the Manning thing over the summer really bruised his ego and there was a lot of reports that the organization had to really work with him to make him feel comfortable and like he was " the guy "

If taking a back seat to Peyton freaking Manning bugged him I'm unsure how he'll react to a rookie coming up and taking his job.

I still say if he's healthy he should be the #1. I really don't see the dual threat thing working out...just going to cause issues.

What`s funny is that the best display of how it should be done actually came in the game against the Jets.

I definitely think it`s possible. That said, it`s not a long term solution. Never will be.

BREAKING: Jim Harbaugh has informed Alex Smith that Colin Kaepernick will start Sunday, per source. Said decision not based on health.
Alex Smith is gonna have no confidence now

Gonna assume Smith is gone after season

Wow, crazy stuff. All depends on how Kaepernick does, if he sucks then Smith certainly won't go.

Here is Smith so far this year

152-217 (70% comp pct ,, #1 in NFL)
1,731 yds
13 TD
5 INT
104.1 Rtg

He would be a god playing for Jets/Chiefs/Vikes/etc with play like that. Really doesn't deserve this treatment

Losing your job while playing well ,, Just such an absolute WTF type thing

WTF type thing is your post. What treatment?

Much ado about nothing. He hasn`t won the spot over Smith yet. Might, but not yet.

Kaepernick`s healthy and playing good so Harbaugh will keep him in the game. Simple as that. Don`t jump on conclusions.

When your #1 is cleared to go and ready ,, They aren't benched no matter how well a backup played in 1 game

To bench your #1 is a clear message that he is not your guy

Says you. Harbaugh`s team is not built with that kind of mentality. You should know that.

Who knows, maybe there is something behind it. Like a management decision. We shall see. That question remains to be answered, assuming is all you got.

If Kaepernick consistently plays like he did this week, there's no reason Smith should be starting.

Kaepernick will create offense. Smith will manage offense.

Never liked Smith from the day he was taken first overall, and babying his way to a contract after ONE decent year after several years of being a bust just rubbed me the wrong way. Really he should be paying the 49ers back for the money they wasted on his first 6+ years.
