Ryan Murray has a small tear in his shoulder labrum, puts his WJC status in huge jeopardy. Could be a good thing for Rielly though.

Awesome. Team Canada's defense is going to be really deep this year. Hopefully we can get back to Gold!

I think Rielly was/is going to play himself into a prominent role regardless. Sucks for Canada to have Murray out.

Hopefully Finn or Percy can get an invite and get a camp experience at the very least.

That's too bad for Murrary and you never want to see that happen to anyone. However assuming Rielly plays on the same Defense paring with Hamilton that will be great to see.

Would imagine Percy is higher on Canada's pecking order due to having more experience. Not sure if Percy can make it, but his chances would def be better now with Murray being injured.

Even if it's a good thing for Rielly I'd personally want Murray to be there. We haven't tasted gold in almost 4 years and I'm craving a WJC championship. Plus HFBoards seems to have a lot of annoying people on the main board who are from outside Canada and they love taking their digs and ripping us new ones everytime we lose. It would be nice to see them shut up for a bit and have the best possible team we can, like '05.

It's going to be such a nasty pairing in terms of dynamic skill, I can't wait. Hope those two can find some chemistry!

Sucks about Murray, Columbus fans deserve better. Hope he makes a full recovery.

Columbus is rivaling the LEafs for unluckiest franchise.

I just hope Rielly doesn't make Hamilton look like the second coming of Larry Robinson, or ....well you know.

Well they have had high ass picks though, the other franchise that should also lament is the islanders. High Picks brutal situation and turnouts.

True Dat!

Gotta laugh at CLB and the history with Rusian draft picks.

It's a sympathy laugh, but still...IT still twists MacLean's panties in a knot.

Rielly was already better than Hamilton in the summer series with basically a handful of games back since his injury from a missed season.

Fast forward 30 games and 2 tournaments under Morgan's belt, the separation to Dougie should and will be even greater.

Doug better pick it up, he hasn't impressed me much in the 2 tournaments leading up to the Worlds.

Yup, if Hamilton doesn't impress you at the World Juniors his career will be in jeopardy.

Just let him have it. It's just a side-effect of the Kessel trade

Compensation for Kessel was a first, second and third.

For some strange reason that third turned into Hamilton. You are damn right we want him to tank.

Losing Murray definitely increases team Canada's need for a defensive defense-man and a leader. Hopefully Percy gets the nod.

He should get a chance to make the team, especially considering how similar his game is to Murray's. He'll be fighting with Siemens, Dumba, Reinhart, Ceci, and others for the job so it would really mean something if he's able to crack the squad. Having Rielly, Biggs, and Percy at the WJC would be a great showing for Leafs prospects.

No, the compensation for Kessel was two firsts and a second. Offer sheet was never a realistic possibility. It would've just locked Kessel in Boston for a year.

The first turned into Hamilton. I was upset when Boston got him - never thought he'd fall that far.

However, we have an excellent prospect in Rielly now. A Hamilton-Rielly pairing would be sick for Canada.

Losing Murray will hurt though.

Never want to applaud a guy's injury. Hopefully it's minor enough that it's a one-time thing for Murray; separated shoulders are prone to recurrence.

With Murray going down, it has be said, that Morgan will move up to
partner with him. So what's good for Hamilton, will be good for Rielly.

Matt Finn, is playing with Mono right now.

Morgan Rielly was struggling with left leg injury late in the frame, but told trainers as he came off he was fine. Didn't miss a shift

this was posted by someone in prospects thread. this kid is a beast. he is a warrior, doesn't let an injury slow him down, wat a beast

if this is injury that the guy was talkin about, his season might be over
well than, probably is just a troll
but maybe i'm wrong, and he meant murray

Murray is sidelined with a tear in his labrum. So you're not wrong. Rielly is a beast, but hopefully it's nothing serious...

Man another pointless night from Rielly? Is he just snakebitten or is his play declining?
