Our centers

With Mika playing center now on a regular basis and looking way better then when he was on the wing. How do you guys see the sens center lineup looking in 1-3 years?
We have:
Spezza
Turris
Smith
O'Brian
Regin
Mika
And a couple of other guys In bingo as well

Regin and O'Brien can both play the wings. Spezza, Turris Smith is currently the top 3 centers but I can see Zibanejad pushing Smith down to the fourth line giving us unbelievable depth in all 4 center positions.

With this being said, you can never know what you're situations is going to be like. Remember how Briere was about to get traded because he was too good for the third line role in Philly then bam Carter and Richards gone and all of a sudden they leaning on him to center the second line and is their clutch go to center in the playoffs.

In a perfect world I want to see these lines when the lockout is lifted.

Latendresse-Spezza-Michalek
Silfverberg-Turris-Alfredsson
Greening-Smith-Regin
Condra-O'Brien-Neil
Daugavins

When Z is ready:

Latendresse-Spezza-Michalek
Silfverberg-Turris-Alfredsson
Greening-Zibanejad-Regin
O'Brien-Smith-Neil

I think a greening-zibanjad-regin line could be be dominate, hopefully we see it soon

They could be a good 3rd line, I guess. Not dominate.

If they reach their potential and are still on the third line , I'd think that would be a dominant 3rd line. And honestly I know greening is like what 26/27 but I think he's gonna improve a lot on his last year and hopefully regin can finally get healthy and stronger

Again this is all on the assumption that turris pans out as our second line center (looks like it) and we run a 2a/2b kinda thing for our 2nd and 3rd line

Compared to other third lines in the leagues, it could very well be dominant. Excellent on both ends of the ice. Speed, grit, sniping, playmaking, size etc...

Zibanejad
Turris
DaCosta
Hoffman

Smith

Spezza
Zibanejad
Turris
Smith

We have a dearth of centres right now, should trade 1 or 2 for depth at other positions.

counting on anything long term from dacosta or regin is unwise, i think. i just never have been totally sold on regin and his 15th major injury doesn't help me feel any better about him, and i doubt dacosta will ever be big, strong, or fast enough to play and make a difference.

Neither has Alfie. And yet...

But I agree with your sentiment about counting on them long-term.

huhn?? are you suggesting alfie isn't big, strong, or fast enough to have played in the league, or that dacosta has similar physical attributes?? really??

alfie in his prime had "plus" speed, to go with excellent acceleration and outstanding agility. if you've ever seen him in person you'd see that his legs and a$$ are ridiculously big and strong. he isn't huge, but has a squat powerful frame and very good strength. alfie wasnt a star in the NHL despite having sub par physical attributes, if that's what you're suggesting.

dacosta has nowhere close to the physical gifts that alfie had.

Better than white text is lemon chiffon text.

I found that miraculous discovery last year.

In that time period I could see our centre's lining up like this:

Spezza
Turris
Zibanegad
Smith

The third line would be great as:
Greening-Zibanegad-Noeson

Power forwards with skill and speed

At this point, I see him competing for the 2nd line center job within 3 seasons from now.

That not only sounds like something I can eat, like a delicious desert, but something I SHOULD be eating right now.
