******* that 12th round was nerve breaking.

Chavez wasn't ready for this. But he is overhyped/protected for years.

Saul Alvarez saved the face of Mexican-pride today. He whopped Lopez' ass.

Almost fainted at the end. Chavez looked so much bigger but too slow. That was just so close in the 12th. I think Chavez can take the rematch if it happens.

RIP Corrie Sanders (1966-2012). The former WBO heavyweight champion - won by knocking out Wlad Klitschko in 2003 - was shot in the stomach by armed robbers in his native South Africa yesterday. He passed away last night.

That's a damn shame. Too many boxers getting shot and murdered. It makes me think paranoid thoughts with all the boxers that have died in the last few years.

Anyway, Sanders was awesome. The guy took his golf more seriously than boxing, but when he walked right through Wladimir that was one of the craziest things I ever saw in the squared circle. The guy was a tough SOB.

HW prospect Robert Helenius makes a comeback fight after almost 1 year after his injury and surgery on 10th of November in Helsinki Finland. Opponent is still unknown. Many fears his power. I hope he can get fast back to his old form after few fights.

Crazy news about Camacho, doesn't sound like they think he'll make it now.

The story from Wednesday

I know, its kinda surreal to even think he's in this position considering his character in the ring. Sad how the demons he's been fighting for years seem to have won, was hoping one day he really would put things back together.

Looks like he's on borrowed time for sure now:

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) -- Famed Puerto Rican boxer Hector ''Macho'' Camacho is clinically brain dead, doctors said Thursday, but family members disagreed on whether to take him off life support and two of the fighter's aunts said later that relatives had agreed to wait two more days.

So did anyone watch Ricky Hatton's failed comeback? A TKO loss.

EDIT: It was actually a KO. He failed to beat the count.

I guess one positive is that it was a body shot and he didn't get knocked out cold. He was probably ahead on points before he got KO'd but he didn't look that good. He should stop before he suffers anymore serious damage.

It's just funny how boxing works. Hatton got KOd by a guy who got embarrassed and stopped by a feather-fisted Paulie Malignaggi, the same guy that Hatton dominated.

Despite being undefeated, Gamboa just doesn't impress me.

I can't believe how late this Manny-Marquez fight is starting. Who else is excited for a groggy Larry Merchant?
