Trades: Kucherov to Rouyn-Noranda for Kamaev+2nd in 2013/Kamaev to Sherbrooke

Huskies RN ‏@HuskiesRn
TRANSACTION: les Huskies mettent la main sur Kucherov (QUE) en échange de KAMAEV et d'un choix de deuxième ronde en 2013

Will Kucherov report?

What will QC do with Kamaev?

A verry good trade for Rouyn-Noranda.

Kamaev will be trade for a 3rd or 4th round pick.

Desjardins and Kucherov, for André Tourigny the Santa Claus name is Patrick Roy!

I have no problem with trading Kucherov. I wish him good luck with his new team.

I'm just a bit surprised where Roy traded him. I guess both had some discussions before the trade was made.

Kamaev is already traded to Sherbrooke.

Mikaël Lalancette ‏@MLalancette
Denis Kamaev et leur 1er choix européen 2014 échangé au Phoenix de Sherbrooke. En retour : 1er choix européen 2014 de Sherbrooke et 5e ronde

They swapped 2014 Euro import draft 1st rounders+Remps get a 5th.

Must be pretty certain NHL season is toast and that Grigorenko will stay put for the year now.

Considering you can't keep 4 OA's and 3 euros... how is it a gift? He also got good returns for both players. He got more for Desjardins than what Victo got for their better OA's.

And it goes both ways: Grigorenko.

I was just wondering if you agree with keeping Sörensen over Kucherov?

^I do considering Sörensen will likely be back next season unlike Kucherov.

Kucherov is more talented that's for sure but in the playoffs, I'd choose Sorensen over him.

The choice was clear, it was:

Sorensen + 2nd pick (top 25 pick) + 1st import pick 2014 (top ten pick) + Turnbull

vs

Kucherov

He chose Sorensen and the picks. Only time will tell if he made the better choice.

No idea what Sherbrooke is doing... Not a good start to the expansion franchise.

I do. Some don't.

He has a style that fits more with what the team needs. On top of that, he has simply played better up to now. I can see Kucherov progressing within the season... but I can say the same about Sörensen.

People keep talking about the possibility of Kucherov haunting the Remparts... I don't see why that wouldn't be possible with Sörensen, even less so considering he'll be in the league longer. There was no risk-less choice.

I believe Söresen is underrated. I've probably said it too much recently, but I feel it's necessary with the plethora of comments going the other way. Anyone is free to believe that is just the common pattern of fans saying that about their players, I won't hold it against you

They have definately made some strange moves thus far. However, they also stated they wanted to make the playoffs and be more competitive than recent expansion teams in their inaugural season.

Odd move, Rouyn have had success with Russians before...

What's going on in Sherbrooke.. Trading their 2nd, and they've now traded their 2012, 2013 and 2014 import picks for nothing...

They could of gotten value out of those..

Far from nothing. Moncton sent them Jack Flinn(promising 17 year old goalie),3rd 2012,4th 2012, 1st 2013 and a 2nd RD Euro 2012 for their 1st Euro 2012..

Kucherov is doing well in his first game with the Huskies, 1 goal and 1 assist so far. I'm wondering where Kamaev was tonight. He wasn't dressed for Sherbrooke, wonder if he's refusing to report? Or going back home to play? Injured?

No, he simply couldn't play tonight's game. I think it's an IIHF thing.

He was in Quebec City with the team.

Ok. Kind of strange they wouldn't let him play but Kucherov suited up.

Did Kucherov and Andrighetto leave to their National Camps already? Both didn't dress today.
